You turn on the shower letting it heat up slightly before stepping under the flowing water, you sigh with a note of relief as you feel the water run down your body. you could have sworn you heard Wednesday giggle but she doesn't giggle so you dismiss it. "How'd wood carving go?" you ask, trying to make conversation as you pry your mind from Wednesday. "Uneventful" Wednesday replies.

"So nobody got stabbed?" you question in amused shock.

"No, but there have been threats, they don't believe I'm willing to pull through" you laugh almost manically. "I wish I was there for that"

"Me too," she says more tenderly than she meant to, you feel your cheeks flush as she clears her throat.

the shower facility was a poorly made one, there were cubicles but they were only separated by thin glazed plastic, you couldn't help but see Wednesday's silhouette, her pale body you couldn't help but to want more but knew it would never happen and turn away, knowing you're imposing on what little privacy you would ever have here. Silence fills the room except for the flowing water.

"Can I ask you something?" Wednesday asks cautiously

"Yeah, sure," Not an ounce of hesitation in your voice.

"Have you ever had a connection with someone you can't quite explain but you still like it?" you look at the floor as your heart grows a little heavy, you knew that Wednesday doesn't like positive words but knew what she meant. there was a pause "Yeah...yeah I do"

"What do you do with the feeling?" you can't help but wince as she continues

"Well you have two options, bury the feeling forever and never look back at them or the person," you pause, getting caught up in your thoughts of her.

"And the second option?"

"oh ah," you snap out of your trance. "To-to pursue it and see if they feel the same way" you close your eyes as you feel a little empty. Of course, she had found a guy that she liked, it was only a matter of time before she outgrew you like everyone else. It's not like anyone actually likes you, quit lying to yourself. you close your eyes once more trying to shut out the feelings. "oh" she adds she notes of determination clung to her voice

"whoever they are they'll probably say yes, it's not like you to be denied" you try to compliment but cringe at your own words. "Was that an attempt at a compliment?" she says puzzled.

"yeah" you chuckle "I'm not good at compliments" you can't help but smile a little "mainly because I've never really liked anyone before"

"yeah me either" she whispers. both of you finish washing and begin to dry off and change into clothes (unsurprisingly both black) and head in the direction of the cabin before dinner, feeling the cool night wind caress your skin. You look up at the perfect full moon "it's a full moon tonight," you say looking at the moon, but just Wednesday looks at you.

"the perfect time for climbing trees, or on roofs, or swimming in the dark" you glance at Wednesday "that probably sounds weird..."

"Not at all, it makes sense. My family and I usually walk through the cemetery on a full moon."

"Wicked" you breathe, Wednesday's lips tug upward slightly.
