As you sat bolt upright in bed as if a bolt of electricity runs through your core, you only see black, the murky, fractured dream replaying in your head, some of it more clear than others. The room you're in quickly comes into view as your eyes adjust. You blink, your senses slowly beginning to start up and work, a cold sweat soaking your brow. You continue to stare into the nothingness. Something moves in the bed next to you, almost making you jump you quickly look down next to you, ready to jump out of bed, in case this was a part of another deluded dream. Your eyes adapt to the dark, focusing on a very pale, very asleep Wednesday, you feel a smile flutter to your face. Her beauty is undeniable but that's not why you smile.

You shift to face Wednesday, her beauty captivating you once more, you could sit and watch her for hours, but your dreams still pushed it's self to the front of your mind. "Can't sleep, mon amour?" Wednesday asks quietly her eyes still pressed shut. Her words startle you. "Yeah, I guess." You say briefly forgetting how to speak, "I didn't mean to wake you." You say, your voice horse, your words trembling, hotel, travago (non spon). "I understand...Are you ok mon amour?" she says sensing your hesitance and pain. Mon amour...my love. "Yes...No...Maybe," You say unsure, your mind still spinning. A cold silence fills the room, it weighing on you and consuming like icy waters trying to crawl into your lungs and drown you, plunging you into a dark place.

Wednesday wraps her arms around you, you almost jump at this movement, finding your mind and body stuck in a place between dreaming and being alive. The warmth of her body brought back the feeling of your body that you didn't realise you didn't have. "I'm here...I'll always be here." She mutters, mirroring the words your father spoke, the words you didn't know you needed. You turn, feeling as if you'd been stabbed. "What..." You mutter tears burning at your eyes once more, Wednesdays hand reaches for your face, cupping it tenderly. you feel your eyes close at her touch, tears leaking from your eyes. "I'll always be here...I'm here." She says, her eyes a filled with tenderness and splashed with worry, that could not be captured by artist nor photo. Unknowingly speaking the words that you needed to hear. You crash your body into hers, burying yourself within each other, unfathomable emotions rushing through you, devouring you whole, but by far the most potent: Love.

Wednesday smiles as you refuse to let her go, almost crushing her. Silent tears track your face. Not daring to pull away, getting used to your body once more, the odd hollowness dissipating. You look up into her black pool eyes, darker than the room around you could ever be. You press your face to hers, your damp, salty cheeks pressed against hers in a song of passion, your lips exploring each other once more, her lips staining yours. You both pull away panting, "What was that for?" Wednesday asks slightly taken back. "Do I need a reason?" You tease in a hushed voice, a step away from breaking, just like the rest of you.

"No," She whispers and smiles understanding the kiss was something more than just a kiss. You lay together, not wanting to move as you slowly begin to relax as if melting into her. "I don't think I'll be able to go back to sleep now," You mutter into her chest. Her fingers run through your hair, every touch comforting. "That's ok, my love. We can stay like this for a while." She squeezes you. Silence crawls back into the room, gently filling the night as it too was falling back asleep.

"Would you like to talk about it?" She whispers trying not to wake the silence that slumbered. You pause, not knowing where to start of if you wanted to remember.

Without speaking, you slip out from under the covers, taking her hands in yours. "Come with me?" You ask pulling on her hand gently, she shifts hesitantly before moving out of bed with you. You both creep out the door, letting both Agatha and Sara sleep a little longer. "Where are we going?" Asks Wednesday the thrill of both of you sneaking out. "Just trust me," you say smiling and pulling her further into the dark forest. You and Wednesday wander further into the forest, walking a familiar path. "Here," You say reaching a tree you climbed less than a day before. You feel your hands wrapping around familiar branches, Wednesday looks at you curiously. "What? Scared of heights?" You tease, and she looks at you," I fear nothing," she says approaching the tree.

"Not even losing me?" You tease once more, a smile on the edge of your lips. She rolls her eyes, tolerating you, "Maybe that..." She murmurs, her eyes darting away from you. A slither of your heart melts in a way you knew it only ever would for Wednesday. Your offer a hand to her, pulling her to your level, "Don't act like I'm not the best thing that's ever happened to you," she purrs in defence, her eyes at level with yours. You feel the warmth on your cheeks, "I wouldn't dare," your words whisper as you find yourself lost within her eyes. Her cheeks flush what you assume to be pink, "Are you going to stare all night?" She whispers her eyes not breaking from yours. A smile pulls at your lips, "Most certainly," You tease breathlessly, she rolls her eyes and shakes her head, "I hate how smooth you are," she grumbles, you can't help but giggle as she moves up the tree, you sure to follow.

The wind steals your heat as the both of you reach the top of the tree, the branches swaying in the gentle morning wind. You look around at the impossible sight once more, the land outstretched before you, the first rays of sun breaking across the midnight blue sky, cracking into a familiar dance of molten gold. You find your eyes falling upon Wednesday, her arms wrapped tightly around herself, the cracking sky reflected perfectly in her eyes. "Are you cold mon Coeur?" You whisper, not daring to disrupt the moment, a shiver creeps up her spine as the wind warps around her. "A little," She admits. you smile softly, moving to her your arms pulling her cold skin against yours, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Better?" you whisper in her ear, your warm breath brushing against her, she nods, not daring to take her eyes from the perfect fractured sky.
