Another dreadful task after another, All with Beverly looming over you as you helped participate in these pointless activities that were meant to help with this weird thing call bonding, whatever that was. all the while cursing the concealer who said it would be good for you both after you almost beat her into the mess hall floor.
You walked through the woods to the next activity. "Hopefully it's how to tie a noose," You mutter Chase chuckles and rolls his eyes. An inner conflict stirred in you, why would Chase want to hang out with a bunch of dullards. It's not like he wouldn't make fun of these people less than a week ago, it was weird. It's probably his ego that couldn't take a bruising. You think to yourself, trying not to read too much into it, hadn't he already proved his loyalty?
"It's not that bad," he says his eyes hovering on Beverly. You look at him with a deadpan look, that shows your deepest resentment and empty eyes that pleaded for the sweet realize of death. "Ok, it is that bad..." he corrects himself his eyes shifting off Beverly who is too busy bickering with her friends to notice. "How can someone with nothing to say talk so much?" you ask wanting nothing more than to sucker punch the bitch. Chase snorts, "are you any better?" You consider slaying him on the spot, "ok, ok, I meant for talking shit." you look away for a moment considering his words "Yes," you say. He raises his eyebrows and you roll your eyes. I miss Wednesday she doesn't need me to explain everything. You think to yourself, "What I mean is, my disdain for Beverly stems from her actions and attitude, however, she seems to hate people because she thinks that she's better or deems them unfit of her oh so desirable attention, for trivial reasons. She's a child, an entitled, spoiled child who will get a really big shock when she gets to the real world. That's if daddy doesn't protect her from everything," You roll your eyes.
"I can hear you bitch!" She calls back thinking just for once she pulled one over on you.
"Good, maybe you learned something," You sigh, disappointed and ultimately wanting this to be over. A few of her friends are brave enough to snicker, they're met with scowls and quickly fall silent.
You finally arrive at the final 'bonding activity' You gather with your peers and read the rules, it's a game called: human knot. "Yay, physical contact my favourite," you mutter rolling your eyes. Maybe your mum was right, at this rate of eye-rolling, there's a high chance they might get stuck.
"Alright, the rules say we need to stand in a circle and join hands with people who are not next to us, then untie ourselves," You say wanting desperately to get this over with. "Are you telling me I have to hold hands with you guys?" Beverly sneers. "Oh my fucking god let's just get this over with, it'll take ten minutes," you groan, Ït's not like we're all dying to hold hands with you." You sneer back begging the gods to get her to shut the fuck up for at least a minute. The group forms a circle and you pick out random hands, your hand makes contact with two different hands. One very soft and warm hand and one that was for some reason both very dry and very wet. The very soft hand belonged to an unsurprisingly pretty girl named Jenny and the wet, dry one to...Beverly? You would think it would belong to someone who prides herself on being perfect would factor her freakish hands into her personality that you would surely ridicule later.
You slowly manage to de-knot yourselves, though through no help of Beverly and her whining. How complained about holding your "Grubby, gross hands," You just stared at her. No disbelief, not hate. Well, maybe a little utter discontent. You end up closer to Beverly which is a nightmare in its self, "Have you tried moisturiser?" You bite quietly with venom dripping from your teeth. She makes a face as if she smelt something foul and was trying not to react. You smirk, satisfied. Your sure if karma was a person they would have your head by now.
You managed to get untangled, everyone looking slightly twisted and uncomfortable. You battling Beverly looking the most uncomfortable, Chase winning look for most excited holding Beverly's hand like it was solid gold. Ah, true incel fashion. You think to yourself wondering if he might faint from being blessed, you try not to smirk. Finding yourself in a sickly comical situation, as if it was taking place in a poorly written fanfiction.
