|89| A Happy Ending

You screams filled the room as your nails dig into Karma's hand. "One more push," the doctor says as you stopped pushing and gasping for air.

"No, I can't," you say as you lay back down on the chair. Sweat on your forehead, neck... You were exhausted. Now you remember how painful it was to have Ryu.

You felt soft lips on your hand. You turn your head towards the person, "Come on, one more push," he tells you, holding your hand tightly, ignoring the pain that you're giving him.

"No, I can't. Everywhere hurts... I don't feel good... Can you do it for me?" you ask him as look at him with a smile and slapping his cheek lightly and softly, you were out of energy. Your eyes slowly closing. You're tired.

You try to stay strong for him. You knew the results of these events. You show him a gentle smile, a smile that tells him...

Everything will be okay...

"I need you to stay with us, (Name)," the doctor tells you but you weren't listening everything was just quieting down.

"(Name)?" Karma asks as he felt your hand lost grip. The first child isn't even out yet. You lose grip and your eyes shut close. You let out your last breath which terrified Karma. "(Name)!" Karma says holding your hand tight with both of his hands. He could feel his eye getting teary.

You weren't responding, you weren't moving... You're not even breathing.

"Sir, I'm going to need to you step out," a nurse tells him. Karma fights back, not wanting to leave his fiancee side but before he knew it, he was outside. 

Karma then starts having flashbacks...

"How is she?" Karma asked the doctor after he has run a few tests on you.

"It's not looking well," the doctor told him. Zander has retired from the hospital. "I have read her past medical record and I've noticed she has been diagnosed with a cancer never seen before  but she was lucky to be cured but..."

"What is it?!" Karma asks raising his voice out of fear but then he looks around, making sure no ones were around and eavesdropping.

"She was lucky that when she has her first child, her cancer cells didn't activate and her son was lucky that he didn't receive those cells but... Having twins... She's going to get worst and worst. They have activated and we can't do any sort of surgery while she still has the twins in her," the doctor explains.

"Get to the point! What's going to happen to her? To the twins? What can you or I do to make her better?" Karma asks him as his handshake into the fear of losing you. He can't.

A month after the engagement, the proposal, you started getting sick, tired, pale, etc. At first, everyone thought it was because of the pregnancy but you knew the feeling too well. You didn't keep it a secret.

You told Karma immediately, you did it out of the fear of what could happen to your unborn kids. You didn't say anything to Ryu, you don't want to worry him or stress him out. You know how much that kid looks up to you and loves you, you're his mum after all.

You and Karma went to the hospital are check on both you and the twins' health.

"We can get her into surgery immediately and save her life as Dr. Zander did many years ago," the doctor suggest but Karma remembers his words...
