Tsukuyomi Volume 5: Rise Of Sin Tzu (MHA X DC)

Chapter One - Old Rivals

After his meeting with Tokoyami, Sin Tzu had set his plan to begin his war in motion. But in the calm before the storm, Sin Tzu arranges a private visit to Tartarus Prison. He arrives under the guise of a business associate named Mr. Kojiro.

Prison Guard: Welcome to Tartarus Mr. Kojiro. You sure you want this visit? This guy is.....dangerous. 

Sin Tzu: Thank you for the concern, but it is not necessary. 

The prison guard then leads Sin Tzu into the visiting room. In the room was the bound All For One. The guard then promptly exits the room, leaving Sin Tzu alone with All For One. 

Sin Tzu: All For One. Look at how far you've fallen. 

All For One: The same could be said of you Sin Tzu. 

The two rivals looked upon one another with a degree of respect. Despite their war with one another, Sin Tzu and All For One had respect for each other. 

All For One: So you've returned after all these years. Why have you hidden in the shadows for so long?

Sin Tzu: I saw where the wind was blowing. I knew it was only a matter of time until All Might intervened. Even with my Quirk, it wouldn't have been enough to destroy the Symbol of Peace himself. 

All For One: Had we combined our forces, we could've ruled this society. Perhaps even the world itself. After all, a united front can achieve wondrous things. 

Sin Tzu: That is true. But if the battle cannot be won, then not only will the alliance be pointless, but valuable resources that could've been put to better use will be wasted. 

All For One took note of Sin Tzu's response. He knew his rival as a master military strategist. 

All For One: Always the military thinker. Tell me, is that because of your Quirk or did you always have a talent have a mind for battle and tactics.

Sin Tzu: I'm afraid I cannot say out of personal reasons. 

All For One: Why are you here Sin Tzu? I know you never make any kind of move unless you gained something from it?

Sin Tzu: I've gathered my forces. My troops are mobilized. I've made my first move. Now I wait for my opponents to make theirs. 

All For One became interested in Sin Tzu's plans. While he had his own plans set in motion, All For One fully understood that Sin Tzu was a formidable rival who was not to be underestimated. 

All For One: And who pray tell is your opponent?

Sin Tzu: Hero Society itself. With All Might defeated, Hero Society is vulnerable. The Symbol of Peace is now no longer a threat. Perhaps I should thank you for this. Your.....noble sacrifice will aid me in my conquest. 

All For One chuckled at Sin Tzu's comments. 

All For One: And why tell me this? What do you benefit from tell me this?

Sin Tzu: I remember a long time ago when you said that my conquests would never come to fruition. That I would fall under the weight of my own ambitions. Well here I am. I am on the brink of total victory. My opponent is vulnerable and my forces ready to attack. I tell you this because I want you to know who it was that will steal your empire from you. To know that it was I who stole your throne. 

As Sin Tzu made his reasons known, the villain simply chuckled. 

All For One: Empires are not so easily taken. Do you really think my operations are so vulnerable? Do you really think nothing happens here without my say so? I am here only because it benefits me. I can easily break out without effort. Remember that All Might is no more because of me. I'm the one who snuffed out the last bit of power from the Symbol of Peace himself. 

As Sin Tzu and All For One went back in forth, both remembered their battles over the years. Years of battle seemed to flow from their words. 

Sin Tzu: Do not mistake my words for overconfidence. I fully understand what you are and what you're capable of. That is why I was meticulous in our battles. I knew that beneath the thuggish exterior and the brutality lies a cunning and dangerous manipulator. You always were one of my most worthy opponents. Perhaps when I'm done with Hero Society, we will meet on the battlefield for one last time. 

All For One: I would welcome that opportunity. I look forward to crushing your armies at my whim. I look forward to watch the fear and despair in your eyes as I hand you one humiliation after another. 

Sin Tzu: If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself......

All For One:......you will succumb in every battle. 

Sin Tzu: It has been most enlightening All For One. 

Sin Tzu got up and began walking towards the exit. As he does, All For One offers the warlord one last warning. 

All For One: Know this Sin Tzu, no matter how many victories you gain, all it takes is one defeat. One crushing defeat is all that is needed to bring your empire down. I will be there to hand you that crushing defeat. I will watch as everything you've built fall apart around you.

Sin Tzu: We shall see.....Shigaraki......

As Sin Tzu uttered All For One's real name, Sin Tzu left the room and exited Tartarus Prison. Now it was the time to put his plans into action. To truly begin his war on Hero Society.
