Tsukuyomi Volume 5: Rise Of Sin Tzu (MHA X DC)

Chapter Six - Smoke & Mirrors

After taking over the outpost, Tokoyami along with Batman, Aizawa and Red X made their way back to UA to formulate a plan. Batman gathered some of the Top Pro Heroes in the auditorium.

Batman: Sin Tzu is hiding out in a compound on Tatooin Station.

Endeavor: Tatooin Station was cleared out during the evacuation. How can we be sure that this intel is true?

Batman: I got this from the commander of a nearby outpost. He was telling the truth. I made sure of it.

Aizawa: So now we know where Sin Tzu is hiding. Now what?

Batman: I'll be taking a strike team to raid the compound. If we're lucky, we'll be able to capture Sin Tzu and end his invasion.

As Batman said this, he gathered the people he felt would be best suited for the strike force. In the strike force were Nightwing, Tokoyami and Robin along with the Teen Titans. Aizawa and Red X would join as well. The rest of the Pro Heroes would remain at UA. After gathering the strike team, Batman began moving for the compound on Tatooin Station.

Batman: Oracle. Have you finished analyzing the compound?

Oracle(Communicator): Just about. It's crawling with mercenaries. I'm seeing snipers posted all around the compound as well as drone vehicles patrolling the compound.

Nightwing: So I guess knocking on the front door is out of the question?

Batman: What about Sin Tzu?

Oracle(Communicator): I saw someone matching Sin Tzu's description, but there's no way to be sure.

Tokoyami: Something's not right about this. This compound is too open. Why would Sin Tzu make this his command center?

Beat Boy: Maybe he's got a bad case of over confidence. 

Cyborg: Those drones are no joke! I'm trying to hack them, but the encryption is insane! I've never seen anything like it!

Artemis: All the more reason to be careful about this!

Soon, Batman and the strike team set up a recon position on top of a building overlooking the compound. 

Red X: Damn. Looks like Sin Tzu isn't pulling any punches here.

Robin: What's the plan?

Batman: The direct approach is suicide. For this to work, we're going to have to approach this from two angles. Robin. You and the Titans will divert the attention of the ground forces. I'll be taking the others inside the compound and capture Sin Tzu. 

Robin: You can count on us. 

Batman: We'll wait on your signal. Oracle will try to hack the drones to 

Robin: Got it. You heard the man, Titans! Let's go make some noise!

As Robin and the Titans were about move out, Tokoyami walked up to Raven. 

Tokoyami: Raven....please be careful. 

Raven: I will. 

Tokoyami and Raven then kissed. After that, Robin and the Teen Titans began making their way near the entrance to the compound. As the Titans prepared for their attack, Batman gathered the rest of the strike team. 

Aizawa: What's the plan?

Batman: Once the Titans begin their attack, we'll sneak inside the compound and make our way to Sin Tzu's position. 

Red X: You think all of Sin Tzu's guys are just gonna drop what their doing and buy the distraction?

Batman: Unlikely. But if it goes well, this distraction should draw enough of them out so that they won't be a problem.

As Batman laid out the plant, Tokoyami sensed something wrong with all this. Something seemed off about all this. Soon enough, the Titans began their assault. As the mercenaries began engaging the Titans, Batman led the strike force inside the compound.

Red X: Infiltration complete. Now what?

Batman: Next we make our way to Sin Tzu. If Oracle's intel is correct, then he should be in his private office.

Nightwing: Then what are we waiting for? Let's go pay one warlord a visit!

Tokoyami: Something's not right about all this. This approach is too reckless for Sin Tzu.

Aizawa: All the more reason to be careful.

Batman and the others began moving through the compound. The resistance they encountered was minimal. Soon, they reached the office. Through the window on the door, they saw what appeared to be Sin Tzu talking to a mercenary via radio.

Mercenary(Radio): Sir! We're being overrun by the Heroes! Our drones got hacked and are tearing us apart!

Sin Tzu: Have your men retreat. This compound is lost. We must preserve our forces for the next phase.

Sin Tzu then ended the call. Batman and the others slowly crept up behind Sin Tzu.

Batman: This war is over Sin Tzu.

When Batman turned the chair around, it is revealed to be a dead body.

Red X: What the hell?

Nightwing: That's not good.....

Suddenly, the TV in the room turned on. The TV then showed the face of Sin Tzu.

Sin Tzu(TV): Apologies for the deception, but I anticipated this attack.

Batman: You knew we were coming. Did you?

Sin Tzu(TV): How do you lure the enemy to you? The answer is simple. You reveal a position that the enemy wants. Entice him to the point where they cannot refuse. When they take the bait, observe their movements. Their tactics. When they make their move, you make yours.

In that moment, Batman and the strike for e realized that they have been deceived.

Tokoyami: This was a trap. He planned this!

Sin Tzu(TV): Once the enemy has fallen into your trap, attack them at their weakest. Appear weak when you are strong and appear strong when you are weak. One must make sacrifices if one is to conquer their castle. Smoke and mirrors is often the pathway to victory.

As Sin Tzu said that, he pulled out a remote and presses a button. When he did that, the body began beeping.

Batman: GET OUT OF HERE NOW!

Batman and the strike force jumped out the window as a bomb was detonated, leveling the entire room. They quickly met up with the Titans.

Robin: What was that?!

Tokoyami: It was a trap! Sin Tzu was trying to lure us away!

Raven: But why lure us away?

Batman: Divide and conquer. While we sprang his trap, Sin Tzu was moving his forces to....

Tokoyami: UA! He's going after UA! We have to go back to warn the others!

Batman tries to contact Oracle, but only static was heard.

Batman: Something's blocking communication back in the Batcave. We're on our own. Let's move!

Batman and the others began making their way back to UA in an attempt to warn the others of Sin Tzu's plan. Little did they know that Sin Tzu was already making his move on UA.
