Chapter Eleven - Operation: Knightfall

Operation: Knightfall had commenced. The full might of Sin Tzu's army had descended upon Japan like a purging flame. As the bombings commenced, Tokoyami and Hawks made their way back to UA for form a plan.

Tokoyami: What's the plan Batman?

Batman: It won't be long until Sin Tzu's forces launches an attack on UA.

As Batman says that, the ground begins to shake as a muffled explosion was heard outside.

Beast Boy: That doesn't sound good.....

Knowing that there was little time, Batman contacted Oracle.

Batman: Oracle. Have you finished the scans of the city?

Oracle(Communicator): Just finished tracking the signal. I'm getting a big electromagnetic signal coming from an old communications tower deep in the city.

Cyborg: I can vouch for that. I'm picking several transmissions coming from the tower.

Tokoyami: That must be where Sin Tzu is coordinating the attack.

Nightwing: So what's the plan? We make a bold and daring raid on the tower?

Batman: We wouldn't make it far. Those helicopters will obliterate anything that comes into their radar.

At this point, it became clear that charging the tower was not a viable option. The helicopters continued to bomb the city.

Batman: Tokoyami. Use the sewer systems to make your way to the tower. We'll stay behind to keep Sin Tzu's forces occupied.

Tokoyami: Are you sure? You might need all the help you can get.

Batman: We don't have time to debate on this. It's clear that Sin Tzu has a deep interest in you.

Shigaraki: Can you blame him? Killing Moonfish was no easy task.

Upon being reminded of the death of Moonfish, Tokoyami paid no attention to Shigaraki's words. Instead he kept his attention to Batman.

Tokoyami: If you believe that this is the best course of action, then I will do my best to do my part.

Aizawa: Be careful out there kid. It's gonna get hectic real soon.

Tokoyami: I will do my best.

Tokoyami then began running for the exit. Before he left, Tokoyami took one last look at Raven. Both shared a silent goodbye as Tokoyami left the building. As he did, Cyborg turned to Batman.

Cyborg: I'm picking up heavy heat signatures coming our way.

Starfire: The enemy is here.

Batman: Everyone get ready. We'll need to hold off the mercenaries for as long as we can.

Dabi: Is the no kill rule still on?

Batman: The helicopters should be unmanned drones. Don't hold back on them.

Dabi: Now you're talking my language.

As Dabi said that, mercenary commandos burst into the building and began firing on the Heroes.

Mercenary Commando: Targets sighted! Shoot to kill!

As the Heroes and Villains began engaging the Commandos, Shigaraki turned to Twice. 

Shigaraki: Twice! Swarm them!

Twice: No problemo!

Twice then unleashed his Sad Man's Parade Super Move and an army of Twice Clones began swarming the commandos. Seeing this unnerved the Heroes, especially Hawks. 

Hawks: (That power.....)

Artemis: That's some power!

Batman: Shigaraki! Take the League of Villains outside to engage the drones!

Shigaraki: Very well.

Shigaraki calmly led the League of Villains outside the UA building where a large group of Drone Helicopters were in the process of bombing the building. 

Shigaraki: Dabi. Burn them. Only we will reduce UA to rubble. 

Without hesitation, Dabi used his Cremation Quirk to launch several fireballs at the helicopters. The helicopters were promptly destroyed as they crashed to the ground. As more drone helicopters began to enter the area, Starfire's Starbolt blasts and Raven's dark energy blasts took down several helicopters as they acted as air support. 

Beast Boy: This is insane! 

Cyborg: You wanted action Beast Boy! Now you got it! 

Beast Boy: This is not what I had in mind, but I'll take it!

Cyborg: Boo-yah!

Cyborg then begins shooting down helicopters with his arm cannon while Beast Boy transformed into a T-Rex and began taking down helicopters. Soon, more mercenary commandos began flooding the area as they began firing on the Twice Clones. 

Mercenary Commando: Move up!

Artemis began shooting down commandos with several trick arrows while the Pro Heroes began taking the fight to the mercenaries. 

Endeavor: Take them down!

Red X used his Shadow Jump to it's fullest capabilities as he teleported around the area and took down the commandos with ease. 

Red X: Is that all you got?! C'MON! I'm getting bored here!

Meanwhile, Batman led Nightwing and Robin in a coordinated assault against the mercenaries. 

Batman: Robin! You take the right flank! Nightwing! You take the left flank! I'll take the middle!

Robin: Copy!

Nightwing: This is where the fun begins!

Robin and Nightwing then began taking the fight to the mercenaries and used various gadgets o take down the mercenaries. Meanwhile, Batman begins taking down the mercenary commandos with ease. When a Titan Enhanced Commando charged into the battlefield, Batman jumped on the commando's back and paced a Shock Batarang at the commando's face. He then detonated the Batarang, shocking the commando into unconsciousness. As the battle dragged on, mercenary reinforcements continued to flood the battlefield. The League of Villains showed no fear. 

Mr. Compress: Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Toga: This is the most fun I've ever had in forever!

Spinner: Let the wrath of the just be harsh and unforgiving!

As the League of Villains made their stand, so did the Heroes. Despite the overwhelming numbers, neither the Heroes nor the Villains showed no signs of faltering. They would hold their ground no matter the costs. They would make what would appear to be their final stand against the full might of Sin Tzu's army. Operation: Knightfall was in full display. As Japan burned, both the Heroes and the Villains sought to put out the flames and defeat this seemingly unstoppable force of nature. As the battle occurred, Tokoyami made his way to the sewers. As he did, he entered the sewer systems and followed the signal that would lead to the communications tower where Sin Tzu was conducting Operation: Knightfall.
