A girl named Tonky was the only child of her parents. Her life was facilitated with all the facilities by her parents from her childhood only. She was not less than a life of her father, who was a very renowned king of his province. He loved his princess like anything.
One day Tonky went to her friend's house during noon. But till night she didn't return. The king got very disappointed and planned to send his ministers to find her. For the meanwhile, he gathered all the people in the courtyard and announced.
"No furnace should be burnt to cook food & no ceremonies should be held, until and unless my princess returns," said the kind with a firm voice.
"As you say sir," said all the people in an ordered coordination.
"Disperse now," said the king, "Halt ministers! You all go to her friend's house & find her. She must be there only." They all bowed & went to find the princess.
It was late mid night but no information was received. All slept hungry. All slept gloomily.
The next morning, the ministers returned to the palace. When the king heard the trotting of the horses, he rushed out.
"Your highness sir! We looked for Tonky every nook and corner, but ...." said one of the ministers.
The king said in rage, "....but .... came empty handed."
Then suddenly, one more minister came at the very moment and stepped down from his horse & informed, "sir, sir our princess has been kidnapped by the ministers of our arch rival, Hem Cream."
The king turned towards him and asked, "H...H... How can you say so?" to which the minister replied, "I saw his slaves taking Tonky on their horses. But couldn't stop. I was all alone. I lost my way. Na... now she would be in their castle."
The queen's eyes filled with tears.
"Who knows, how would they be treating my princess?"
"But sir... they ... they were taking her without harming. Rather were behaving gently," said the minister in confusion.
"How can it be?" Questioned the king. "They aren't less than beast."
"They might be demanding something," a voice came from the crowd.
"Hardy, you go and ask, what he is demanding for?" ordered the king to another minister.
"As you say."
"Wait a minute Hardy" said the queen, "you shall not go all alone."
Then, she turned towards the king, and asked him to go along.
The king left with his ministers.
They all reached the palace till dusk. They all entered in and to one of the ministers the king asked, "where is Hem? Call him out. Tell him that I've come here for my princess. He may take whatever in return."
Suddenly, Hem came down to his porch and laughed out very loudly "You fool. You need not to give me anything."
"Look Hem, don't you try to fool me. Just tell why have you kidnapped my princess?"
"Kidnapped? What are you talking?"
"Demand whatever you want but please lend my child back to me."
"Whatever I wished for I've got it. My lovely Tonky. She hasn't been kidnapped. She has eloped with me with her own choice."
The king couldn't breathe properly. He was breathless. Rest others working under Hem began to laugh. Till the time Tonky also appeared at the same place.
"Oh! My dad! Your father-in-law Hem. Treat him good I'm.... I'm sorry dad. I didn't think to be a traitor, the time has made me... but I couldn't cheat Hem, my love, my life. It's true we have eloped together. Actually, I was fed up with your unnecessary securities and hell lot of restrictions. And fed up without Hem. I'm sorry! Now what to do? You may leave now, or would you like to take some beverage?"
The king was taken aback. He couldn't bare this pain. He startred living his life all the time sick and depressed.
In this way, she showed her cheekiness.
