Chapter seven

Animal behavior
There is now more animals than humans left alive. Back in 2019 there was around 7 billion humans on earth now that number is down to 2 billion left alive. For the past 150 years humans have been dying quickly because of seekers. Animals were mutated to be were animals so that the human population didn't completely die off. With the amount of animals alive if they were counted as humans the population would be 5 billion. Animals are domesticated so humans have protection from seekers. They have mutated Into a hybrid of many different things. They even have the power to know who is a hunted and who is a hidden. I'm glad tengan hasn't gotten an animal to help him with tests.
On the way
It was super cold what the hell I think there is supposed to be a blizzard tonight. Damn it's quiet especially since we are in seeker territory. I see something in the background that isn't human it's more than one seeker. They start making their way over to us when me and izuru use our powers. But none of them stay back we all shut our eyes and hope for the best. I can sense something else a animal soul. It's a we're animal but one I don't know what animal it was mutated from. Soon I couldn't sense the seekers strangely the animal saved us. I haven't seen domesticated animals since I was three. I was the first to open my eyes and I see something. It tapped Nagito on the shoulder and then put something in his hands. He looked at the strange girl and she then disappeared. The others opened their eyes. "Was I the only one to sense a were-animal?" We all shook our head. "I don't think it was a were-animal I think it's something else. I think it was the prophet." They all looked at me "have you all really never looked into the prophecy before?" They all shook their heads. I looked at ko who had a letter in his hand.
Komaedas pov
Hajime was looking at me. "It has my name on it. I wonder what it is." I open the letter and quickly read it. "If you are reading this letter then you should be a curious one or a person looking for answers. Good thing is that I'm gonna give some answers in this letter about our family and shadow but I can sadly say you won't gonna like most. Also if you are not a part of komaeda family then you probably shouldn't read this. I will tell the dark secret of our blood. For me it was when before i was born for you long ago. Our blood was searching secrets of darkness, shadows, seekers, hiddens and hunted... Like most of curious people we wanted to find a way to kill or be able to protected from seekers and shadows but we didn't dismember hunteds or hiddens like all we didn't torment gifted souls we value them and their families sacrifice. But their sacrifices inspired us. Their creation is similar to a point with seekers. Both of them needs death and sacrifice in different ways. Others think this as a connection but we thought this as a sign. The gifts of shadows are hunteds so the cures of shadows are seekers So we think if they opposite things then they can't be way to destroy one. So we need something else similar with them it need to come from the shadows and it should created with sacrifice. While our researchers keep going wheel of Destiny makes its move and give us something we thought we can use. One of our blood who is pregnant to an heir had unfortunate news from her doctor that her child can not gonna survive in her more than 2 months. Child was dying. Everyone around the mother thought this is the most unfortunate thing can happen a mother but the mother saw this as a fortune for our all blood. This was a chance to create the protector we wished for so she and hole family members prepared a ritual. In the ritual they sacrifice 999 forest animals with the body of unborn babies. For shadows so they can create a protector from the soul of the baby. When ritual ended the rain started so everyone returned their homes. At the morning baby was no longer in the belly of the woman like it never existed. Which made every one thing ritual failed. But memory should stay. So they build a mansion, a house for our blood same place they do the ritual then they build graveyard for animals they killed and fresh one for who probably gonna be killed or died. After sometime pass on this event. Woman had her second child born without a problem. Only problem was child's shadow. The shadow had eyes it can move by itself it was alive. It was our sacrifice! So family quickly dismember the living shadow and second child. Child was totally normal but shadow it was spectacular! It was blessed with fortune, power of shadows, beauty and purity of rain. It was cold as a corpse but when it grow. It had features of the things we sacrifice to create it. It looked like a young woman with white pure hair,with green eyes , two fawn horns, two wolf ears, a wolf tail and crow wings but it won't show them if it's not appropriate. It listen all commands of the youngest member of komaeda family and follow that member until he or she has an heir or he or she has their final moment. It has a lot of qualifications the other details are at a book hidden in the library. It is real and it will protect us no matter what. It is the thing we call "sacrifice" but if you wish you can call it differentially. Don't forget it is our memento and it connected to you with an extraordinary bond. It is our secret never ever anyone learn it hid it in the house and forest bury it to the grave with your corpse.
