I wrote this story almost a year ago and I'm in a way rewriting the entire thing. I'm slightly changing the plot and changing many things about the characters.
I really didn't want to give up on this book so here I am, trying to fix it.

"C-Can I..." Sasuke hesitated to say the words he was thinking. What was he afraid of? Rejection? No, that can't be right. Sasuke grew annoyed at his own indecisiveness.
"Can you?" Naruto nudged.
"I..." Sasuke trailed off again. He was yelling at himself to say it but he just couldn't. He kept freezing up. This wasn't even a big deal. All Sasuke had to do was ask Naruto a simple question. Why was this so difficult?
"Can...Can I maybe..." Jesus this was so out of character for him. Why can't he just say it? He's making this situation grossly awkward and he probably looks stupid. His eyes had been focused on the ground. He decided to look up at Naruto, the moment he did his eyes were met with an extremely gentle look coming from Naruto. Almost as if he knew what Sasuke had been trying to say. Sasuke was almost immediately filled with reassurance, "I want to kiss you." He said.
Naruto smiled, "I know!" He said casually.
"W-What?!" Sasuke almost stumbled backwards.
"I'm an idiot but I'm not stupid." Naruto crossed his arms over his chest.
"That's debatable." Sasuke said to himself.
"W-Well...Hey this is off topic!" Naruto said. After he said that, the whole mood seemed to change from one of awkward silence to a more solemn, peaceful silence.
"Are you gonna do it?" Naruto broke the silence.
The mood seemed to become awkward once again. This was getting tiresome. Neither Sasuke, nor Naruto knew what they were doing. Sasuke couldn't tell whether this was going to be a good or bad experience yet.
"Mhm." He mumbled, not trusting his voice.
Sasuke looked up at Naruto as he adjusted his position. Naruto waited for Sasuke to take initiative. Sasuke slowly leaned in, closing his eyes until his lips gently touched Naruto's. They stayed still for a moment until Sasuke pulled away.
Sasuke pulled away from Naruto and couldn't help but notice how beautiful he looked. The sun had set and he was lit by the dull moonlight. His face was bright red and he was looking at ground. His hair had fallen in front of his face, covering his eyes. Naruto looked up for a moment, "S-Sasuke." Naruto said quietly. "I love you..."
Sasuke took Naruto's hand and looked across the bridge, "I love you too."
Just as Sasuke was about to kiss Naruto again, a voice yelled out from the path.
"Oi Naruto, Sasuke! What are you guys doing out this late!?"
"Kiba!? O-Oh uh, nothing just hangin' out as friends ya know?" Naruto let go of Sasuke's hand.
"You guys should get to bed." Kiba said, full of suspicion.
"You should get to bed as well. Why are you even awake?" Sasuke asked.
"Eh, anxiety. Can't sleep, I guess."
"Oh, good luck with that. Goodnight." Sasuke grabbed Naruto's arm and walked the opposite direction of Kiba.
"S-Sasuke, my house is back there." Naruto stuttered, still shook by Kiba.
"And? Mine is this way."
Naruto blushed even harder.
"I'm getting cold." Naruto said.
"Want me to set you on fire?" Sasuke smirked.
"Why are you like this?" Naruto sighed.
Naruto walked alongside Sasuke back to his house.
"It's only 7:30 so wanna watch a movie?" Sasuke asked as he looked at the clock on his wall.
"Sure!" Naruto ran over to Sasuke's room.
"Lemme get the remote." Sasuke said as he looked through some drawers.
Naruto yawned and laid back onto the bed, "Your bed is so comfy." he mentioned.
"Naruto where's your mom?" Sasuke asked, concerned.
"Eh. Probably out with another guy." Naruto said.
"Oh..."
Sasuke sat on the bed next to Naruto and looked at him with apologetic eyes.
"I'm sorry you have to go through this, ya know, your mom. And I'm sorry I couldn't have helped you earlier." Sasuke leaned closer to Naruto.
"It's alright, there's not really anything you can do about it." Naruto shrugged.
Naruto rested his head on Sasuke's shoulder.
By the time the movie was over, both boys were fast asleep, cuddling in each other's warmth.

(A/N I have no idea if this was a little overboard for 13. Idfk but my friend said it was ok. It feels like it's been forever since I've actually finished a chapter. Whelp. Sorry if you felt uncomfortable reading this because I sure as hell felt uncomfortable writing it.
