Just like an endless void, her heart is empty. Incurable damage has begun, breaking away at everything that was built. Life is so precious, even a moment is priceless. You cannot buy the luxury of life, it is something no one can give, but everyone can take. They took it from her. They took everything that mattered, leaving a shell of what was. She was raped of her life, cut down to what’s left.
Blood, death. She can see it, coming for her. It came for her what she loved most, and is waiting by her door. She can feel him, smiling down at her, hungry. The reaper is waiting to take her, to drink of her blood. To eat her flesh, tearing at her body.
She can feel it, in the wind. The blinds blow in the open window, sun shining inside. The dust particles can be seen flying above her, all circling her like the stars. She is drawing her best drawing yet, of the one who is coming for her. She knows it already came for daddy, and took him. It drank his blood, ate his flesh. The reaper is the beast, waiting for his time for all. She looks at the beast on the page, looking back at her. She is ready for his return, to taste from the bloodline, once again.
“Emily, can you please unlock the door?” Banging echoes through her ears, breaking her concentration.

The shot glass lies empty, as it has been.

“You can’t just join them! This isn’t some club!” Charlie informs him on the phone.
“Of course not. We will force their hand.” Isaac snaps back.
“And how will you manage that?”
“We will force them to speak with us. We will make sure they have no other choice.”
“Do you plan to attack them or something? We have no idea where they are.”
“Better. They will come to us. Contact them, making a deal to buy their meth. We will take the man, forcing them to come get him. We will introduce ourselves, strike a deal. We are professionals, Charlie.”
“What if they just shoot us?”
“And risk losing him? We will have the hostage.”
“I can contact them. You will need to come with me. I’m not doing this alone.”
“Charlie, of course not. I don’t want anything to be done alone unless I ask. I want to make sure everything comes by me. I’m the reason we are still alive.”
Isaac pays for his drinks, ready to drive home. He exits the front door, glancing at the lady in red, one last time.
“Good. I will call my friend who buys around. He will help me set it up. I’ll text you when I have the time and place.” Charlie hangs up, dialing his friend.
Isaac unlocks his car, checking for any damages. Nothing. He climbs in and pulls onto the street, ready to get some sleep. He feels fine to drive, only a little tipsy.
The stars are out, looking down upon the city. The stoplight flashes green, allowing him to continue. He turns up his music, enjoying the ride. He feels powerful, intelligent. He really believes there is no other quite like him. The excitement of joining the Amor family to destroy Simon is overwhelming. Red and blue lights flash in his mirror, police behind him.
He is being pulled over. Isaac freaks out, knowing this pistol is in his glove box. He knows he has to move it. He opens the glove box after pulling over, quickly pulling out his registration papers. He slams it close just as he comes by, shining his light inside.
Isaac places his hands on the wheel, smiling. He is nervous, knowing it could all end here if he isn’t careful. The officer taps the window with his light, wanting it rolled down. Isaac rolled his window down, giving him the registration and reaching for his licence.
“Thank you.” The officer takes both, heading back to his car.
Isaac taps his finger on the wheel, keeping an eye on him with the rearview mirror. The officer looks at his information, finding everything he needs to know. He walks back to the car, scratching his grey hair.
“I pulled you over tonight because your licence plate light has gone out, making it hard to see. I also noticed you aren’t wearing your seatbelt.” He stares at Isaac, handing him back his licence and registration.
“Oh!” Isaac slides on his seatbelt, having forgotten from being tipsy.
“I’m so sorry about my licence plate light. I was going to have it fixed earlier but I had forgotten due to work.”
    “That’s fine. Your seatbelt?”
    “I’m a little tired.”
The officer pauses, staring at him. He sighs, looking around at the other cars.
“I’ll leave you off with a warning, and I’ve put your name in the system again just so we have it on record.”
    “Thank you so much, sir.”
“Have a good night and drive safe. Get that light fixed.”
The officer pats his door, walking off. He starts up his car and drives away, leaving Isaac there. He sighs and puts his paper away, putting the gun back into the glove box. He is ready to get some good sleep.
The night has begun, the stars coming out once again. Room three twenty-two. Isaac enters his apartment, just as he left it. Pistol on the table and papers tossed about. He tears up the papers and throws them away, hanging up his jacket. He thinks about Rose and how it went, wondering why she was upset.
He shrugs it off, preparing for his shower. His phone rings as he is getting washed up. This makes him lean and answer the phone from the shower, putting it on speaker.
    “Charlie?”
“Isaac. I called him and he wants to meet tomorrow afternoon. Around nine o’clock. He wants to meet downtown in a parking garage, near the mountains.”
“I know the place. How can we kidnap him?”
Isaac turns off the water, finishing his shower.
“You will drive up, jump out and distracting him. I will choke him out and we will take him to Dante’s house. That way he won’t leave my side.”
“If we do this fast enough, we should be able to get in and out. I’ll see you tomorrow at nine. I’ll distract him, just make sure he doesn’t shoot me.”
    “Of course.”
Isaac dries off and gets ready to sleep, as Charlie finishes his movie before bed. They both find the idea to be manageable. Charlie worries about what the Amor family will do, however. He has never met them in person and hopes that they won’t kill them, hostage or not.
Isaac’s phone rings, just as he is getting ready for bed. He enters his bedroom, having finished brushing his teeth. Sarah Hunter is calling, his stomach falling.
    “Sarah?”
“Isaac. I just called to let you know… as I’m worried. You have done so much for our family and I feel we can be open and honest. My daughter isn't handling Alex’s passing well.”
    “What happened?”
Isaac closes his eyes, the feeling flooding back again.
“Emily… my poor girl. She has changed. For the worse. She started drawing pictures of a demon… some kind of monster. She keeps telling me she will die just like Alex. Isaac when you have the time, would you stop by? Later this week? She just needs some reinforcement. She also needs to keep taking her medicine. She skipped a day this week, and that could kill her.”
“For course, Sarah. I will try my best to stop by. If I can. I would hate for her to not get better.”
    “Thank you… Isaac.”
Sarah ends the call, leaving him to think. Emily is afraid of death. She believed she will have the same fate as her father. This only makes Isaac want revenge more. Lives were destroyed by his death, and the cost is high. Isaac doesn’t want to be the one to pay the price. He wants control. He wants to play God.
