The water turned black in the night. Sunlight has receded past the horizon, the night sky above. The air has become cold, their jackets keeping in the heat. Isaac is watching the waters, looking. He can see past the ocean bar, the waves crashing in the open water. This night the ocean is going to be in full effect. The cold is coming.
Hector, the tall mexican man is watching the waters, too. He is hoping it all goes to plan. It has been a while since he has been on waters this rough. The darkness is vast, causing them to become nervous. Isaac is hoping they will see the boat in the darkness.
“What will you do if this plan… doesn’t work?” Hector asks him, leaning against the boat’s railing.
“It will work. It has to. We just have to see that boat.” Isaac keeps his eyes on the roaring waters.
Hector looks away from him, not sharing his opinion. He is thinking of a plan B. There are six men on the boat, including Isaac. They hope they have enough. One of the men is making sure the rope is on tight. They plan to toss a hook onto their boat, pulling themselves alongside.
Isaac keeps his eyes level with the waters, just above the crashing waves. They have to wait. He hates waiting. He is looking for anything. He is looking towards the north. The waters roar on, lifting and lowering. He can see something… a light. Isaac strains his eyes. He can see it. The boat. Just before the bar, in safe waters.
“That’s it! It looks big enough! Start the engine Hector!”
Hector runs behind the wheel, starting up the boat. They take off, leaving the shore. The waves shake the boat, water splashing in front next to Isaac. The boat isn’t meant for these types of waters, but they will force it.
Isaac steps back with Hector as the waves splash, Isaac already becoming wet. The boat closes in, the light becoming brighter. The boat is rather large, three times the size of the fishing boat. Men can be seen inside the control deck, looking south.
Isaac turns off all the lights on the fishing boat, blinding their attack. They splash against the waves, turning left. They are following alongside them, at the same speed. Isaac grabs his rifle, loading his magazine. He straps on his bullet proof vest.
“Alright men! This is it! We will board that boat!”
One of the men tosses the hook when they get close enough, hooking onto the railing. They reel in along side the boat, causing both boats to lean a little. The men inside the large boat notice they are being boarded, two running out. Isaac opens fire with his rifle, shooting the two before they can fire back.
“Everyone get on! We will leave the fishing boat!” Isaac leaps over, grabbing onto the railing.
His feet hang above the roaring waters, freezing him to the bone as it splashed against his side. The other men leap after him, grabbing on. Isaac pulls himself up, under the railing. The boat hits the waves, causing him to slip on the wet floor. Isaac catches himself and helps the others come up.
Shots echo into the air as a man leaves the deck, opening fire. One of the men die next to Isaac, falling off the boat and over the railing. Isaac opens fire, killing the man.
“I’m cutting the gas! I’ll jump and you have to cut that damn rope!” Hector calls from the fishing boat.
Hector cuts the power, the fishing boat slamming against the bigger boat. He runs to the edge, leaping for the other boat. He grabbed onto the railing as one of the men cut the rope, the fishing boat falling behind. Hector slips, his hand coming off the railing. Isaac yelled, leaping onto his stomach and grabbing Hector’s hands. Shots ring into the air, men shooting at each other above Isaac.
“Pull!” Hector yells to Isaac as waves hits him, trying to pull him into the deep black water.
Isaac groans in effort, putting his leg against the rail and pulling him up. Hector climbs aboard and joins them.
“Go! Get to the deck!” Hector walks along the side, towards the deck.
Two men aim into the deck’s outside door. Gunfire opens, killing one of the two men and having him fall into the water below. The other man takes a bullet in the vest, surviving it. Only four remain, including Isaac and Hector.
They enter the deck, looking at the controls. The man on the wheel is dead, lying on the floor next to the seat. Isaac knows there must be more below, with the women. Hector runs to the wheel, taking control of the boat.
“Keep this boat going south, no matter what! We will find the others!” Isaac yells to him, joining the two other men heading down the stairs.
They lower into the bottom of the boat, slowly looking into the rooms along the hallway. They have to crouch as the ceiling is low. A small light is on in the hall, lighting up the walkway. They can hear movement on the right side, at the end of the hall. Isaac goes first, slowly walking up to the door. One of the men grab Isaac’s shoulder, handing him something. It’s a flash bang.
“Use this.” He whispers, closing Isaac’s fingers around it.
Isaac nods, pulling the pin. He waits a moment and throws it in, covering his ears. The explosion goes off, women screaming and men shouting. Isaac runs into the room, aiming his rifle.
Three women are tied on the bed, two men holding pistols to the women’s heads. Isaac opens fire, the men and women blind. He kills both, one of them firing. He just barely missed the woman's head.
“What will we do with them?” One of the men asks Isaac, the white one.
Isaac turns to him, then back to the women.
“We will leave them right here. We don’t have time for anything else.”
The women can see and hear now, still stunned a little.
“Stay right here and you will be fine! We will come back for you after we are done!” Isaac closes the bedroom door, not caring enough to untie them.
The other men search the boat, finding nothing. Isaac joins with Hector, sitting in the other seat.
“We did it. We have their boat. They will never know.”
Hector nods, turning the boat a little to the left.
“I can see some lights ahead. I don’t think it’s Simon’s, though. I can’t believe we got the right boat!”
“No boat will be out in this dangerous water, this late at night, unless they were transporting something they shouldn’t.” Isaac reloads his rifle, making sure his mag is full.
Hector nods, holding tightly to the steering wheel. The others join back, watching too. Isaac looks to the men, one looking down.
“Did you check the women?” Isaac asks, loading his mag into the rifle.
“Yes. I took off their gags but left their hands tied. I don’t want them to ruin the plan but they deserve to breath a little better.”
Isaac nods, allowing it. They pass the lights, just some small dock privately owned. They wait patiently, looking out to the waters. The waves feel less intense from the deck. Isaac’s hands are tingling. He almost thought this moment would never come. He can’t really believe it. Simon would be dead, very soon. He would be in control.
    “There. That’s it.” Hector mutters.
They all look out the water, the lights glowing brightly in the distance. This was it. Simon’s boat dealership. They are waiting for the women. Isaac grins, taking a deep breath. He is ready. He wants to taste his blood. He wants to eat his flesh.
“Okay! Here we are! Pull up as they tell you and wait for them to board the boat! Then we will kill them before they realize it! We will fight our way to Simon!” Isaac calls as they near the docks.
The men nod, grabbing tight to their rifles. Isaac can see four guards on the dock, waving at the boat. They are calling them in. Hector pulls close, the men pointing to where he needs to stop.
“Go help them. Just act like you know what you’re doing.” Hector tells the white man, pointing to the door.
He exits, ready to help them attach the boat. Isaac looks out the tinted windows, not seeing Simon. He can see two long docks outside a huge warehouse on the shore. There is a huge boat in the middle of the two docks, with its lights on. The men call to each other outside, attaching ropes to the dock. The white man lowers a platform down to the dock, helping them board the boat. Isaac, Hector and the other man grab their guns, aiming for the door.
“When that door opens, shoot them. Then get off this damn boat. Go straight to that warehouse.” Isaac grabs his phone.
He texts Fernando that they are about to open fire. He just needs to wait for the gunfire. The door opens, bullets flying. The men shout, falling off the railing and into the water below. Isaac runs out of the boat, leaping off the side. He lands on the wooden dock below, looking towards the warehouse.
“Go!” Hector calls, running down the ramp and rushing down the dock.
Everyone follows behind, ready for someone to fire back. They see a man on top of the warehouse open fire, bullets flying past them. Isaac aims and fires back, hitting him in the head. Suddenly bullets rip into the dock, wood breaking.
They all turn to the big boat in the middle. A guard can be seen with a LMG firing down at them from the top. Hector yells, pulling the pin on a hand grenade. The wood breaks below Isaac, causing his feet to fall through the dock. His rifle slides down and into the water below, his legs just above the water.
Hector tosses the grenade at the boat, the LMG ripping through his chest. It took three shots to break through his vest. Hector falls off the dock and into the water below, on the left of Isaac. He calls out for just a moment, the water swallowing him whole. The grenade explodes, the top of the boat bursting into pieces. Wood flies all around, the LMG stops firing. The grenade killed him.
The last two men grab Isaac, pulling him up onto the dock. Isaac takes out his golden pistol, beginning to run. Another guard can be seen exiting a smaller boat, with a rifle. They open fire, killing him. The windows open fire from the warehouse, causing them to fire back. A bullet grazes Isaac’s arm, making him yell. The white man gets hit in the chest four times, Isaac trying to grab his hand before he falls off the dock. Isaac misses his hand.
“Fuck!” Isaac roars, running towards the warehouse.
Only two remain, Isaac and a mexican man. They need more men. They need backup. Isaac can hear gunfire from behind the warehouse, Fernando has arrived. They reach the warehouse, stopping next to the door.
“Keep your eyes open! I’m blowing the door down!” Isaac yells to the mexican man, opening his bag.
Isaac pulls out one of Fedor’s homemade bombs, placing it on the door. He pulls the pin, running out of the way. The explosion goes off, the door flew off its hinges. Isaac runs inside, along with the man. They can see boats lined up on the bottom, being worked on and repaired. There is a large walkway above, two guards aiming down at them. Another explosion goes off across the warehouse, Fernando entering.
Isaac yells, opening fire. Isaac hits one of them in the chest, causing him to fall off the walkway. The other shoots the mexican man in the head, killing him. Blood sprays across the boats in the room, Isaac opening fire. The guard above fires his shotgun, a few pellets hitting Isaac in the vest. He is glad to have it.
Isaac lands a clean shot in his head, the shotgun falling to the floor below. Isaac looks at his side, bleeding a little but nothing major. Isaac runs to the shotgun, picking it up. There is a hallway on his right, linking up to the other side of the warehouse. Isaac enters the hallway, looking around. Chains are hanging off the ceiling above, a few lights show the path.
Gunfire echoes through the hall from the other side, Ferdando running into the hall. They meet up, Fernando grabbing his shoulder. There are five others, along with Fernando and Isaac.
    “Where are they?!” Fernando asks.
    “Dead! I’m the last one!”
Fernando sighs, looking at the five others. They all look like Fernando, just less old.
“Shit! We’ve lost more than expected!” Fernando looks to the staircase in the middle, leading to the second floor.
“Simon must be above. We can do this. One last time.” Isaac grabs Ferando’s shoulder, looking him in the eyes.
    Fernando nods, reloading his rifle.
“We have to. This it it. Where are the women?”
“I left them on the boat. They are fine.”
Ferando nods again, pushing up the stairs. They all follow, reaching the second floor. It is a small break room. There is a door on the right leading to the walkway Isaac just saw. The rest is on the left. There is a long hallway on the far side, with another door on the close left.
Isaac runs across the break room, opening it. There are several women chained to the walls, just like Robert had. One guard inside opens fire, between the women. Isaac fires the shotgun, ripping his chest into pieces. A few bullets hit Isaac’s vest, not making it through. He knows it can only take a few more bullets.
“Get them out of here!” Fernando calls, the men taking their chains off.
They unlock their cuffs, letting them run for the exit. Isaac will allow it, not taking up too much time.
“Let’s go! Simon is just ahead!” Isaac roars, heading for the hallway.
They all enter the hallway, heading towards a door. It must be an office. Isaac stops at the door, taking a deep breath. He knows it’s almost over. He kicks open the door, aiming the shotgun.
There is an office with a few desks around, guards taking cover. Isaac fires through a desk as he dives for the floor, taking a bullet in the vest. The pellets kill one guard and the others open fire. Two men die to the guards behind Isaac, getting shot in the head. The room goes quiet, only five remain. Isaac, Ferando and three men. There is a room adjacent to theirs, on the left. Simon must be there.
“Let’s do this!” Fernando reaches for the doorknob ahead.
Bullets spray through the door, breaking his vest and ripping through his chest. Fernando yells in pain, blood spraying from his mouth. He falls to the floor, the three men shouting and firing back through the wall.
Isaac looks at Fernando’s dead body, leaving him in charge. Bullets fly back through the wall, Isaac diving for the floor. He crawls up to the door, opening it quickly while on his knees. Bullets fly through the open door at Isaac, who drops back down. He is out of explosives, only having his shotgun.
One of the men toss Isaac their last flash bang, Isaac grabbing it. The man gets shot through the wall, hitting him in the leg. He cries out and falls to the floor, the other two continuing to fire, after reloading. Isaac pulls the pin and lobs it off the doorframe. He covers his ears once again, waiting for the bang.
They rush into the room as Isaac jumps up, opening fire. One falls back through the door, his head blown open. Isaac runs inside to see what must of been Simon’s office. Isaac shoots another guard, who is blinded. The room looks empty, three guards dead.
Only three remain, including Isaac. This is becoming too close for his comfort. They look around the room, not finding Simon anywhere. Suddenly bullets fly through the wall behind them, where they came from. The wall breaks open and Isaac can see a face, just as a bullet hits his vest, cracking it. Isaac falls to the ground, trying to catch his breath. It knocked the air from his lungs. One of Isaac’s men is shot several times in the chest, killing him.
“How do you like it?! You son of a bitch!” The man yelling enters the room, shooting the other man.
Isaac aims his shotgun at the man, getting ready to fire. The man has run out of ammo, dropping his gun and diving for Isaac.
    “Shit!”
He grabs Isaac’s shotgun just as he fires, hitting the ceiling. Isaac kicks him in the side, trying to get his shotgun back. The man headbutts Isaac and tosses the shotgun over the table, trying to choke him. Isaac gasps for air, the man above locking his legs in place. Isaac remembers what Simon looks like. This is not him. This is someone else.
“Simon chose me to protect him! I will not fail.” He yells, spit flying into Isaac’s face.
The man has grey dyed hair. He looks to be about thirty with a clean shaven face. Isaac can see black circle around him as he struggles to breathe, now knowing what it’s like. Isaac reaches for Robert’s pistol in his pants, pulling it out. The man gasps as Isaac pulls the trigger into his chest.
Their ears ring, the man stumbling away from him over the blast. Isaac gets up quickly, looking at him. The man also has a bulletproof vest, saving him. He runs to Isaac, pulling out his knife. Isaac shoots him in the leg, blood spraying across the bottom of the table. The knife enters Isaac’s vest, finding a way through the crack in the armor. Isaac gasps, feeling blood exit. Isaac shoves the pistol against his forehead, firing.
The man falls dead, Isaac stepping back. He quickly takes off his vest, checking his wound. The armor held it far enough, the crack was thin. The blade only made it part way in. The stab wound isn’t as bad as he thought. Isaac looks around the room, everyone dead and Simon nowhere to be seen. The window is open, the cold air blowing inside. The gunfire has finally stopped, allowing the open air to carry it’s sound.
Isaac can hear them. Sirens. The police have arrived. He was worried about this. Isaac runs to the window, seeing someone exit the first floor. The man looks tall with broad shoulders, like Isaac. He can see dark black hair. Simon Stone. Isaac quickly grabs the dead man’s rifle. He tries to reload as fast as he can, Simon running down the dock. Isaac opens fire out of the window at Simon, a stray bullet hitting him in the back.
Simon falls to the dock and quickly gets back up. He must have a vest, too. Isaac runs out of ammo, needing to follow. He has no other choice. It’s now or never. It all led up to this. Isaac grabs the man’s vest off his body, quickly tossing it on. His blood is boiling and his heart is pounding. It is time. Isaac runs toward the window, as fast as he can.
The glass shatters as he falls through, flying out of the second floor window. The cold air flies past him as he falls, looking at the wooden dock below. He lands hard, the wood breaking. Isaac grabs on, pulling himself up. Simon jumps onto a boat at the end of the dock.
Isaac begins to run as fast as he can after him. He can’t let him escape. His vision tunnels as he runs, each step faster than the last. He can hear the sirens in the background, trying to stop him. Simon starts up the boat, the engine turning on. Isaac continues to run, the boat unhooked from the dock.
Bullets are shot behind him, one hitting the dock next to his leg. The police are shooting at him from behind. Isaac continues to run, not letting them stop him. Simon takes off, headed to the water. Isaac can see the end of the dock just ahead, the boat almost gone. A bullet hits him in the back, striking the vest from behind. Isaac stumbles but gets back up. He has no other option. The leap of faith.
Isaac jumps off the dock, reaching his hands out to the boat. His hand catches the back just as it takes off, heading to open water. Isaac roars, having made the jump. He climbs up as water crashes all around him, holding on tightly. He can see Simon in the deck, looking back. Simon opens fire with his pistol, bullets breaking through the glass behind him.
Isaac ducks down, bullets missing his head. Simon continues to fire until he runs out, beginning to reload. Isaac opens fire at him, causing him to take cover. He pulls himself onto the boat, finally away from the edge. Isaac opens fire through the window, Simon firing back as well. Isaac stops firing, running out of bullets. He checks his pocket. He can feel two bullets left.
Isaac loads his two bullets, grabbing his knife. He is down to little supplies. He can feel the speed pick up as the wind blows faster. The boat hits the bar, sending Isaac on his back. The ocean will be in full effect past the bar, the waves growing bigger.
The boat continues to crash against the waves, rocking back and forth. Isaac crawls under the glass windows, towards where Simon is, on the right side. Isaac looks up, seeing Simon’s back. He fires his last two bullets through the window. One in his back, one in his left leg. Simon falls to the floor, dropping his pistol.
Isaac opens the door, quickly kicking the pistol away from Simon. Simon looks up at Isaac, their eyes meeting. Simon stands up, with his limp. He opens his shirt, showing his bullet proof vest. Isaac looks to the pistol across the deck, Simon at the ready.
“I have a vest of my own. I won’t go down easy. I know who you are. You tricked me. I had no idea you would take over that boat. Very clever. Just... why? You could have worked for me.” Simon looks closely.
“Alex! You ordered the death of Alex Hunter! You took what was mine!” Isaac roars, gripping tightly to his knife.
The waves grow larger, water splashing against the glass and the boat bouncing.
“Alex Hunter?! That stupid fuck?! He tried to steal my money! I won’t have that! You don’t care about him, either!” Simon yells at him, looking to the pistol.
Isaac shrieks and runs to Simon with the knife, going in for the stab. The knife enters Simon’s shoulder, sending him to the floor. Isaac can hear a helicopter flying above, knowing that they are just above them.
“Look what you’ve done! All in the name of power?! You have fucked us all!” Simon yells kicking Isaac in the crotch.
Isaac rolls off, Simon leaping towards the gun. He picks it up, turning to Isaac. One bullet hits Isaac in the chest, the other grazing his arm. The waves crash, sending both of them in the air. Simon holds tight to the gun, sliding into the wall. Isaac groans, his vest barley catching that bullet. Simon aims once again.
Click. The pistol is empty. Isaac runs towards him, ready to grab the knife still in his shoulder. The wave crashes again, Isaac missing Simon and hitting the wall. Gunfire breaks through the windows, a bullet hitting next to Simon.
The police helicopter above is firing down, trying to hit them as the boat speeds deeper into the ocean. They hit another wave, Isaac and Simon fall to the floor. Isaac leaps towards Simon, grabbing the knife. They can hear boats speed up behind them, police catching up.
Simon yells in agony as Isaac pulls the blade out, blood spraying from his shoulder. They stand up, Isaac holding tightly to the knife in his right hand. Isaac has the look of murder in his eyes. He finally has him. This is it. He can already taste his blood in the air. Isaac likes the idea so much, he decides to show Simon how much he really hates him. Isaac licks a little blood off the knife, looking Simon in the eyes.
“You animal. There is no reasoning with you. I wonder what your family must think of you. Pathetic.” Simon tells him.
Isaac yells, rushing towards Simon with the knife. They hit another wave, Simon falling on his back. Isaac falls next to him, raising the knife above him. The police launch a rope from the boat, wrapping around the motor blade and stopping the boat. Isaac and Simon fly back, the boat stopping dead in the water.
Isaac screeches, leaping toward Simon one last time. The blade enters his neck, blood gushing out. Simon gasps, grabbing onto Isaac’s hand. He tries to fight it up until his last moment, letting go. Isaac stares at his body, finally dead.
Isaac stands and steps back, holding the knife. He begins to laugh. It’s funny. He finally did it. There he is. Dead. Isaac continues to laugh as police lower from the helicopter onto the boat, weapons loaded. They kick the door open, aiming their weapons at Isaac. One of the police looks at him, shocked. He is looking at an animal. He is completely gone.
    “Drop the knife!”
    “Fucking drop it!”
“We will shoot you!” They all shout at Isaac.
Isaac continues to laugh, holding his knife. Isaac is busy staring at Simon’s dead body. He is so… ecstatic. The officer looks at him, knowing he won’t listen. He is done dealing with this animal. The officer opens fire. His burst rifle shoots three rounds into Isaac’s chest, sending him to the ground. The gunfire stops. The laughing stops. They can all feel the cold air blowing around them.
