The Starship hummed as the mechanical droids creaked through the corridors, their metal scraping on the floor. Footsteps of Storm Troopers echoed outside his room as they marched around the corner completing their surveillance duties. The sounds of the Starship comforted Kylo Ren and often lulled him into a nightmarish sleep. The only thing that kept him awake tonight was the raging war inside his mind.

The silk black blankets were discarded to the side, they hung off the corner of his bed. He found it uncomfortable when he was drenched in a cold sweat from whatever night terror he had dreamed. The silk sheets would only stick to him. The room itself was in pristine condition, the floors reflected everything in its black obsidian glory.

Kylo Ren's room did not reflect his scrambled mind, it didn't reflect the never ending tug-of-war between darkness and light. His clothes were folded neatly into draws, his mask and lightsaber gently placed on the bedside table gently. His perfected room didn't allow him to sleep peacefully either.

He laid awake with an arm draped over his forehead with his eyes closed, the sound of his own breath annoying him. But what didn't annoy him these days? His fuse was so short that people walked the other way, he had killed people because of his never ending anger. The souls of the deceased must've allied with the force ghosts and made an agreement to keep him up at night. Haunting him.

Kylo didn't know many years it had been since he had left Luke Skywalker's temple, and her. It didn't matter anyhow, the past is history and nothing good comes out of dwelling on the past. Only painful memories swim in Kylo's head as he remembers his girls delicate touch.

He punches the steel wall, grunting as pain flows through his fist. Snoke wouldn't tolerate thoughts about the life he left behind. He needed to stop this petty foolishness and sleep. Latching a hand in his damp hair he turned over on his side and then onto his back again. Back or side, back or side. He grinned his teeth in frustration at his lack of sleepiness. Maybe he should just lay still and close his eyes.

The noise outside of his room still blared loudly but he had since gotten used to it. He had wasted half of his time dwelling on absolutely nothing and thinking about sleeping, something he would have to become more proficient in. The art of having a good nights rest, hopefully there was a book on it. He couldn't remember the last time he had a wonderful sleepy, his last moment of peacefulness was with her...

Her hand reached up to play with his black locks of hair and he gazed at her face. She was small, everything about her was petite and beautiful. It scared him during training because she was delicate, easily hurt. He shouldn't worry, she and him were the top padawan's in the Temple. The two students shared a cheeky smile with flushed faces not knowing the repercussions of their actions.

Their bare bodies were pressed against each other, tangled beneath the thin sheet of Ben's hut. They would stay there until sunrise, she would sneak back to hers. He missed the warmth she provided, her entire being was enough to stop the dark twisted voices inside his head. Surely, someone one knew about the secret romance that was brewing between them. It always plagued his mind when they would get caught. What would they say? What would they do?

The scene shifted, into a battlefield and Luke Skywalker's temple burned like wildfire behind him. A small wrist was latched within his hand, a flurry of whimpers and pleas escaped her mouth. He couldn't comprehend what he was doing, his hand was on his lightsaber eager to prove that he belonged to the Dark side. Eager to prove that she belonged there with him. She didn't not did she want to.

She threw him back a couple of meters with her hand and scrambled back falling backwards from the rubble. Black troopers surrounded her until Ben could finally gaze upon her frail form. She looked like a deer caught in headlights, her eyes wide with disbelief at the man she loved. What had caused this change?

Luke was going to destroy it all. Destroy Me. You. Us. What could he have done?

One of the other students stood a few feet back, he had emerged from the rubble with a blaster. The student aimes it straight at Ben, the boy who had murdered his peers. Shooting the shot, the green beam landed beside its target. Straight into Ben's lovers stomach. It was instant death for the boy who had shot her.

Ben looked back at her, she was collapsed on the floor fading in and out of existence. Then he left her there. He couldn't bear to see her fade into nothing, but he felt it. He felt her fade away...

Nayeli Philothea was dead.

Kylo launches himself from his bead and threw his pillow against the floor, he gripped his head cursing his mind for dreaming of that woman. He couldn't bear it, his thoughts were swimming away from him and were heading in a direction he didn't want to go in.

Her brown hair and steel blue eyed gaze. Everything he had lost, but he had gained a lot more...

He felt a pang in his chest as his heart began to fastened, a familiar warm feeling grew in his chest. Grabbing his garments, he threw them on in a hurry with difficulty. They kept sticking to his sweaty chest. Snatching his helmet and light saber he marched towards the training room to lose his mind. Why was his chest warm?

Meanwhile...

She laid there unmoving, still comatose from years ago. Her hair was spread around a missy stone as the aliens of the planets dressed her for the millionth time, they had lost hope long ago that their Snow White would wake up. The aliens wondered often what her eyes looked liked, if she was embedded with kindness. A first order sympathiser or a Jedi. They didn't dare touch the dangerous weapon that rested in her belt.

Her finger twitched and the aliens stopped, they looked at each other confused.

Icy blue eyes greeted them as they looked up her face, still having not noticed the little creatures she launched herself upwards latching onto the stone.

"Ben," she whispered as she clutched her now beating heart.

Her chest was warm...
