Chapter 8 – Watervale Part III (Last Week of Vacation)

It’s been two days since that night with Chase. Ever since that day he hasn’t even looked my way, or even acknowledged me in any conversation. I’ve also noticed that he hasn’t been the same with Lea, not that I blame him, he had sex with her little sister for Christ’s sake!

I'm just surprised that Lea hasn’t picked up on it! But I guess he has been ignoring me too, she might thing he is on his man period or something. I know it’s only been two days, but damn I miss him. His flirting and idiotic remarks, after a while, they grow on you.

Greg’s shameless flirting is at its ultimate high. He is like this annoying energizer bunny that literally cannot be shut off. My parents and the Andersons are always out doing ‘old people things’ as I like to call it.

So as you can see I have quiet the dilemma going on right now.

1. Lea and Chase are practically on the verge of breaking up, because of what Chase and I did, (not that anyone knows).
2. Chase and Lea are both not speaking to anyone or each other.
3. Our parents have ditched us all, doing old people things.
4. Greg is a pain in the ass.

Fun vacation my butt-hole.

“The reason we are all sitting at this dining table, is because we are sick of the current behaviour coming from you” my Dad stated, his face as serious as its ever been.

“This vacation was planned out thoughtfully by your moms. It is highly disrespectful to your mom’s that you are acting like immature ten years olds. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but I want to know what it is, right now!” dad practically yelled, slamming his fist on the table.

I cringed; all of our eyes met each other’s. I then looked down, guilt washing over me in an instant.

“Kourtney, what in god’s name has been happening” dad demanded, my head snapped up to meet his, he eyes boring into mine, waiting for an explanation.

“I uh, hum” I stuttered, as I started to freak out.

What am I supposed to tell him? Oh yes daddy dearest, on the day of the lake party, Chase and I were drunk, we held hands went for a walk, and I lost my freaking virginity on the beach!

HELL NO!

I looked at Chase desperately, trying to seek help. His eyes met mine, the same guilt floating in them. He gave me a light smile, and my eyes widened in shock.

“It’s my fault Mr. Evers. I got drunk at the lake party, and I swore Kourtney to secrecy. I didn’t want to upset mom and dad” his lie flowed out his mouth like he was reciting his ABC. I stared at him shocked, but also relieved. He lied for us? For me?

Chase’s eyes met mine; a small reassuring smile was across his face. I smiled back, feeling warmth spread across my cheeks.

“Oh Chase honey! Why would you scare us like that! You know we don’t mind you drinking when you are around us. I know I don’t want you drunk, but next time just tell us” sympathy was lurking in her voice.
