Chapter 10 – Caught

When we arrived at my house, I gave Chase a shy smile and quietly shut his car door. I tip toed my way into my house, careful to not close the door behind me.

Chase waited five minutes before I heard a rapid knock on the door. My heart was caught in my throat. I don’t know why, but I feel so god damn bad for Lea right now.

I went to the door and opened it, Chase gave me a quick peck on my lips and stepped aside looking up the staircase. I touched his shoulder gently.

“Don’t be too hard on her please. If we want to work out, being hypocritical won’t help” I stated, as I brushed my hand lightly on his right cheek before shutting the door quietly and made my way up the stairs before he did.

I slipped into my room, and stood at the door.

Here go’s nothing.

Chases POV

I watched as Kourt made her way upstairs, thinking about what she just said to me. She’s right though hey, if I stuff this up that would suck big time.

I made my way upstairs, quietly. I saw Kourt standing in her doorway. I gave her a small smile which she returned and braced myself for what I'm about to walk into.

“Hey babe!” I faked enthusiasm as I pushed open Lea’s door.

A gasp and a grunt were heard, as a shocked Lea pushed my so called brother off her.

“WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HELL IS GOING ON!”I roared, as Lea tried to cover herself up, and Greg looked like a deer stuck in headlights.

Kourt then rushed into the room and gasped. That’s my girl! Help me out here baby.

“uhh…” Kourt said, looking between us all.

“WELL?” I roared again.

“Chase baby, I'm so sorry!” Lea started to sob, looking at me through tear stricken eyes.

“Sorry you got caught or sorry that you cheated on me with my brother!” I yelled, as Greg started to look for his clothes.

“I'm so sorry for everything, this was never meant to happen this way!” she sobbed, as she pulled a top over her head, and put on some pants.

“I can’t believe you would do this!” I said, as I shook my head at her, pretending to be hurt.

But I can’t lie, I kind of am hurt. She would have been cheating of me since we started dating.

Lea rushed forward trying to hug me.

I took a step back and she sobbed louder.

“Why would you do this to me Lea? If you weren’t freaking happy why didn’t you just leave me?” I said, trying to suppress my anger.

“I was scared! I didn’t want to lose you, I didn’t want to hurt you! I'm so sorry Chase” she cried.

“So cheating on me wasn’t going to hurt me? Did you not think that I would find out!?” I said, glaring at her.

“I was going to tell you” she said, looking at me.

“When? On my death bed? Be serious Lea, you were both going to keep this going for as long as you could. Till you got caught” I raised my voice.

“I'm sorry” she sobbed again, and that made me crack.

“HOW LONG?” I roared again, making lea shutter.
