"Touch-down!" We are in AUSTRALIA!!! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! YYYAAAYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
"We're here!" Exclaims Ruby.
When we've been through customs, and luggage collection, we sit in the cab, on the way to the hotel we will be sleeping in for the first few nights while we find a temporary flat while we look for a house. This was not my idea. If it was my choice, I would have stayed in the hotel whilst we look for a house. As I look it of the window, I see buildings. I want to go past the harbour, but I doubt that, as the car seems to be pulling up. We pay and wait for Eleanor and her family to arrive and when they do, we go and check in. Eleanor, Ruby, Jasmine and I sit in the lounge area an wait. When the adults have checked in, we go up and get everything ready. Our rooms are next to rah other with a conjoining door, which we have open. When we have sorted everything out, we put on swimsuits underneath some clothes and go down to the pool.
The pool is amazing! It is just the right temperature - not too warm and not too cold. It is really refreshing in this heat. Oh! That's a point! I feel like it is summer, but it actually winter! What will summer be like? I have been to Australia before, but I was younger and I don't really remember very well. Anyway, we swim about, splash each other and play whilst the adults sit in the spa area and talk.
When we go up, we get ready for an evening out. I wear a dress I bought the other day and my necklace, and as it is a special occasion, I wear a bit of mascara and lipgloss. I wear a pair of slip-on shoes that go surprisingly well and I blow-dry and straighten my long, dark hair.
The restaurant we eat in has some of the best food I've ever eaten. It's soooooo nice!
