The traveling group of three continued to run down alleyways and sidewalks. They were getting closer and closer to the abandoned warehouse, their hearts pounding with anticipation for whatever danger they may come across. Once they were a few feet from the building, Hiro pulled [F/N] behind Baymax with him and pushed the robotic nurse in front of them. Baymax—now with the karate database—kicked the old doors down with ease. Hiro jumped out from behind Baymax and pointed inside, expecting to see his microbots come crashing down on them and the Kabuki Man. "Get him, Baymax!"
But there was nothing. Only the sound of crickets in the quiet night. [F/N] slowly popped her head out from behind Hiro with a tilt of her head. "Uh ... where'd the guy go?"
Hiro sighs in frustration and crosses his arms.
"We're too late."
[F/N]'s brows deepened and she gestures for the bot in Hiro's pocket. Hiro perks up in acknowledgment and takes the container out of his jacket and gives it to [F/N], who starts to tilt it around. Baymax and Hiro peer over her shoulders and follow the movement with their heads. "Your tiny robots is trying to go somewhere," Baymax states the obvious.
[F/N] sighed as she struggled to find the right direction. "We know, Baymax. But—"
The microbot rolls over to the right of the container and presses on. The determined artist smiles victoriously. "This way," She says, leading the two away from the Warehouse.
They ended wandering into an empty port, crossing over to one of the docks. [F/N] was so keen and so focused on finding Tadashi's murderer that she wasn't paying attention to where she was walking.
"Uh ... [F/N]!"
"What?" She asked, turning to the two then turning back around. She gasped as she almost stepped off the end of the dock only to be caught by the scruff of her hoodie by Baymax.
[F/N] let out a short breath she didn't know she held in before being pulled back on to her feet. Hiro sighs in relief and pats [F/N]'s back.
"Please, look where you're walking. You could've fallen in!"
"I'm sorry, I ..." [F/N] shakes her head not wanting to finish the sentence. She already felt embarrassed enough.
"Always wait one hour after eating before swimming," Baymax spouts out another medical fact. Though, [F/N] recalled that as being a myth, so who knew. She gasps when the container shakes uncontrollably in her palms, the microbot freaking out bad.
"What the—"
Suddenly, the microbot shoots out of the container and into the mysterious mist a little past the water. "No!" Hiro and [F/N] shout, but quickly zip their mouths shut when a dark figure is seen being carried through the fog.
Hiro squints his eyes in suspicion until realization hits him like a brick.
The Kabuki Man.
"Come on!" Hiro whispers to [F/N] and Baymax, taking the said-girl by the wrist and dragging her behind one of the large cargo containers as Baymax followed suite.
They all poke their heads out from behind the cargo and watch the Kabuki man travel onto the port with the bots while carrying something large behind him. It looked like a piece of high tech with the symbol of the bird on it. Hiro pushes the two back behind the crate and stares at the ground in deep thought, trying to asses the situation.
"Your heart rates have increased dramatic—"
"Shhh!" Hiro shushes him, tapping his chin in thought. [F/N] fiddles with her fingers anxiously while staring at her genius boyfriend for some direction.
