Team 7 [Hiro Hamada x Reader]

Chapter 19: Saved the Day

[F/N] and her team, along with Callaghan and Krei, stand huddled together behind a building part, taking shelter from the powerful portal.

In the knick of time, Hiro and the pod go flying out of the portal just as it explodes.

The pod lands roughly into the dirt and Baymax's fist shuts down. All Hiro can do is hang lifelessly on the pod, mourning the loss of his friend.

"Hiro!" [F/N] yells.

He slowly looks up from his slumped position and over to his team as they run over to him.

"Yeah! They made it!" Fred cheered, jumping around in excitement.

Once everyone had caught up to Hiro, their smiles fell and their chipper moods ended. Baymax was nowhere to be seen.

[F/N] tilts her head in confusion while looking over to Hiro, then Baymax's fist behind the pod. "Baymax ...?"

Hiro slides down the pod and glances at his friends in distraught, leaning on the pod to support himself. Everyone slowly looks away in disbelief and sadness. [F/N] quietly skates over to Hiro and puts a hand on his shoulder, making him turn around and look up at her. She stares at him for a moment before pulling him into her chest for a soft hug. Hiro relaxes and rests his head on her shoulder for a minute before she pulls away and smiles up at her sadly.

She returns the look before turning her attention to the pod with wide eyes. Sitting right there in a deep sleep was Abigail Callaghan. Hiro also turns around to stare at the young woman and he feels a sudden weight lift off his shoulders. He was glad he and Baymax saved her.

Soon, the medics, police, and firefighters, arrived on-scene, taking the now drowsy Abigail away as a medic shines a light in her eye.

"Miss, can you hear me? What is your name?"

Abigail groans softly, looking up to the woman with furrowed brows. "A ... Abaigail ... Callaghan."

"Okay, Abigail, you are gonna be fine," The woman reassures her, pushing her stretcher up into the back of the ambulance with the help of her co-workers.

The police shove a squirmy Callaghan inside the vehicle. He grunts as he lands roughly on the seat and the door slams shut on him. He quickly looks out the window to see his daughter, but instantly puts his head down in shame from all the damage he caused.

While all this is happening, Hiro and his team stand heroically on top of building, looking over all the commotion from below. Hiro turns back around and his team follows. They had saved the day.
