"Eat!" I heard him say in a very authoritive voice.
"I do-" I got cut off the moment he uncovered the food he brought. Ginger! There on laid a bowl of rice, a bowl of crispy fried ginger and water in a tray. Nothing else! This sure ain't no coincidence since I have told him at SixC that I have a moody buds. I looked at him in confusion but at the same time disbelief but he avoided my looking at my eyes. No matter what food, the moment I laid my eyes on it I would know if I wanted to eat it or not but there's also two foods that can make me salivate and that's crispy fried ginger and pastillas. That's the sole reason why Allexer would always make me some in fear that cases like these happens and I won't be able to eat.
Ignoring for the fact that someone new I love crispy fried ginger or probably just a mere coincidence cause no one this world new about it not even my own family. Well, except Yoon. I was about to pick up the spoon when I caught his reactions, he's been looking everywhere except meeting my eyes.
"Who are you?" my forehead creased. I know! this is such a nonsensical question but I can't just keep it to myself. He looked at me, shock written all over his face then he suddenly turned away again.
"Finmish that and take your medicine. I need to go clean the kitchen." With that he left. Leaving me speechless.
How I wish I'm not wrong.
The night went by with thoughts of Yoon going back and forth with Senior Jay had engulfed me to sleep. When I got up it's still dark and Kris is still fast asleep. I planned to go back to sleep but I heard some students have already woken up and seems to be doing some things.
4:00.... that's what showed on my phone. I remembered that assembly time is 9 thus we still have time to prepare. Letting out a sigh I stood up quietly leaving the tent making sure not to wake Kris.
"Oh! Hi! Morning Avery! Early bird, aren't we?" It was Senior Laura who I almost bumped into when I got out.
"Good Morning Senior Laura." I greeted back ignoring her question.
"Jay's in the kitchen by the way." She smiled before turning away.
Guess I'll just help. I can't go back to sleep at my state anyway besides because of me I wasn't able to help out yesterday.
As I walked past tent to tent I noticed that most students who I have encountered and who I saw already awake are the seniors. Some are busy with washing the dishes used last night, some are sweeping, some are checking out the tools.
"Jay~" I called his name feeling close to the person whereas to be honest enough I do though. I don't know but I do feel the familiarity with him around, the comfort, it just feels like I am myself if it's him.
"Where's the 'Senior' now Ave?" He raised his right brow when he turned to me.
"I don't feel like using it." I smiled at him.
If you really are who I thought you are then I'll be complete but if not then guess........
"Come help me here." he handed me an apron and I put it on.
"What do I do?" I asked.
"Cut those onions." he said pointing at for white onions next to him. "Grind those garlic and ginger too."
I did as told. Perks of spending so much time with my younger brother I picked up quite a few of 'How to cook 101' from him.
"Here I thought I had to teach you how." I heard him say.
"Learned from someone who knew." I focused on grinding first.
"What do you want for breakfast?" I looked at him at the sudden question. "What?" His brow raised once again taunting me. "I have to feed you or your brother will kill me." he uttered as a matter of factly that made my brow furrow unbelievingly of what he had said.
