Yesterday my mom told me we had to move to California. Because of my "dad's job". I haven't told any of my friends yet. I'm scared to tell them. I'm scared to move away from everything that means something to me. My friends, my grandparents, my school, my dancing class...
I have to tell them. I call Kate.
"Hello, this is Kate." "Hey Kate, this is Sarah.."
"Sarah! What's up, you sound different.." "Kate, I have to tell you something."
This is so hard, I don't want to tell this, but I guess I'll have to.
"Uhm.. My parents decided to.. To ehm.. To move away. We're moving to California." I start crying. "Oh Sarah.. That's terrible!"
I whatsapped the rest of my friends, and their reactions were so sweet.
Stefan comes into my room. "Hey Sarah.. Have you told your friends yet?" "Yea, how about you?" "Yup, I just did. And..." He starts crying. "My boyfriend Justin broke up with me. He didn't want a long distance relationship."
We're leaving in a day. I've already packed my bags, and my friends threw a surprise party for me. I've never cried that much in one evening.
I wake up to the sound of my parents fighting. "JAY, WE ARE MOVING TODAY, AND YOU HAVEN'T PACKED YOUR BAGS YET?!"
"OH SUSAN, LIKE YOUR PLANNING IS PERFECT. YOU WOULD CALL A TAXI TO BRING US TO THE AIRPORT!"
Oh, I remember again. We're moving today. I run to my parent's room.
"GUYS. Not today. Stefan already called a taxi, and dad, I packed your bags yesterday."
"Oh.. Well, thanks guys."
"Are you nervous? I am so nervous. I have never been in an airplane before," Stefan says. "Stef, relax, it's going to be fine, I'll sit next to you and I will distract you a bit."
We get into the airplane, It's huge, and pink. My favorite color, and also Stefans favorite color. We look at each other and both scream "PIIIINKKK!!" I love my brother. He's the best.
After approximately seven hours, the plane starts to go a bit lower. We have to put our seat belts on. The plane is moving up and down.
"Oh gosh, that feeling when the plane goes down a bit.. It's terrible!" Stefan laughs, "That was exactly what I was thinking."
The plane has landed. We're officially in California right now.
