That Awkward Love

Why Us (Oswaldo's POV)

Kira had to be 2-3 weeks along. I am always going to be there for her. Even though the baby is just a little ball right now I talk to him/her every night. Tara was about to pop anytime now. I could hear Kira up stairs walking or moving something.
"Babe can you come here!" She yelled.
I ran up stairs, but she wasn't in her room.
"Uhh where are you?" I asked.
"In your old room." she said.
I walked and found her sitting on the floor.
"What did you need?" I asked.
"So do you think this would be a good nursery? I think it would, because it's not to far from us." she said.
"Yeah it would be great." I said.
All of a sudden Kira's phone started to ring.
"It's from Tara." She said.
"Hello? Wait what?! Are you serious? I'm crying. Okay keep in touch!" She said hanging up the phone.
"What wrong." I asked.
"Tara's having a baby." she said.
"Oh really. I am so happy!" I said.
The day went by fast. It was 8:30 p.m before I knew it. Kira was already in bed because she gets so tired now. I crawled right next to her and cuddled. As I feel asleep I was dreaming about our baby.
"Oh my gosh. Oswaldo wake up. This is bad. Why am I bleeding.
I got up as fast as I could and we rushed to the hospital. The whole ride there she was in pain. I my self was scared. What was happening.
"We need help please!" I yelled.
A nurse rushed over to us and asked, "What's wrong?"
"She is 2-3 weeks pregnant and she woke up bleeding. it hasn't stopped. Also she is in a lot of pain." I said quickly.
"Okay sir I will take you wife now." The nurse said.
Even though Kira wasn't my wife I didn't correct her. I just wanted answers. The nurse came in and motion me to follow her.
"So there's bad and good news." The doctor said.
"Okay." she said looking down at her feet.
"So the good news is there is no harm to you or you body." The doc said.
"And the bad news?" I said quickly.
"You lost the baby. We will have do surgery to remove the sack." He said.
Kira threw her hands to her face and cried and cried. I didn't know what to do cry or punch something.
"We will schedule for later today." He said.
They left the room and Kira laid there, staring out the window not even talking. Last night Tara had her baby girl Maria. I needed to call Tara to let her know. Kira finally fell asleep.
"Hey Tara. Yes I heard about her, congratulations. So I have some bad news. Kira and I lost the baby. No don't do that. We will call you later. Bye." I talked.
I walked into the room and saw Kira sitting there holding her stomach crying.
"Love why did this happen to us." she asked looking at me with her reared full eyes.
"I don't know hon. I really don't." I said snuggling right next to her.
I waited 2 hours until her surgery was over. Finally they rolled her into the room and she looked peaceful. I fell asleep in the rocking chair. She woke up and said, "Why did this happen to us?"
