We were packing for the hospital. All I could think was are we gonna have an accident. I don't want either of us to go through the pain we had to the first time.
"Babe! Come here quick." I heard her scream.
Thought to myself it's too early what could be happening! I sprinted upstairs as I could.
"What's wrong what's wrong!" I asked quickly.
"Do you think this color is good or this one?" She asked smiling.
I walked over to her and kissed her hard.
"You scared the shit out of me Kira I thought you're going into labor. Anyway what did you need?"I asked.
"What color should I do little baby boy where when he comes home. Blue or green?" She asked smiling.
"I think Carlos should wear whatever his mom once!" I said as grabbing her waist.
She wrapped her arms around me and whisper, "Love you Oswaldo. I really do!!"
This next week went by so fast. I got up the following Monday. I walked down the stairs and made some coffee. I hear a load scream coming from our room.
"Oswaldo pack the car my water broke." Kira cried.
I haled ass and packed the car. I put in the car seat even though I don't know how this thing works. I ran upstairs to get Kira. She was already dressed and ready. Only took about 10 minutes to get to the hospital. I ran in and went to the front desk.
"My fiancé is out in the car and she's going to labor." I yelled.
A group of nurses ran out to my car and grab her. They rolled her away as I follow. She screamed in pain I asked the doctor what I could do to help but all they said, "Sir you can't do nothing unless she wants the epidural. Does she want it?"
I walked over to Kira and asked,"Hey baby do you want epidural, because they said they can give it to you right now if you do."
She squeezed my hand so tight I nodded. They put this long needle into the lower part of her back. Finally the time came.
"Okay Kira you need to give me a big push on the count of three. Ready 123 push." The doc said.
All I could hear was Kira screaming and saying, "Ouch!" Over and over again.
Finally with that last push all I could hear was a little cry. This right here brought tears to my eyes. I kissed the top of Kira's head and said, "Baby you did it. We are parents."
The nurses washed Carlos up and handed him to Kira. She had tears in her eyes, not only from the pain but from are baby boy Carlos. We had to stay a couple of nights before we got to leave. Both of our parents visited us while we were in the hospital. My mom cried, so did Kira's. I was finally a dad, and I glad I've had this experience with the love of my life. Finally came the day to go home. We packed the car up and headed home. Kira sat in the back to watch the baby. We finally made it home and I told Kira to wait here. I didn't want her to rush. I carried everything in, including Carlos. I told Kira to come in. The minute she walked through that door, I got down on one knee.
"Will you marry me Kira?" I asked staring into her eyes. Not to mention her family was her and mine also.
Tears rolled out of her eyes and she managed to say, "y..yes I will."
This truly was a miracle.
