Y/n's mom and Tamaki's dad set up the fireworks in the middle of the street. They were next door neighbors, so they often celebrated together. Spending years like this, being in the same class, and even having their parent as best friends, Tamaki grew feeling for Y/n.
Y/n was the type to always have a crush apparently. Though, she never actually liked them. They were all to made Tamaki jealous. She liked him too. In fact, she's liked him since 6th grade.
Y/n sat down next to Nejire and Mirio. They also lived close by. All if their parents were friends, too. Nejire and Mirio knew of Y/n's and Tamaki's feelings and acted like their wingman.
"So, who's gonna be your New Year's kiss?" Nejire asked. Y/n blushed, twirling her hair in between her fingers, glancing at Tamaki.
"We already know who, Neji." Mirio winked. She smiled.
"Who are you guys gonna kiss?!" Y/n asked in a huff. They chuckled and smiled.
"Each other." They said in unison. Tamaki walked up, handing Y/n her drink. She hummed and took a sip.
"Thank you, Tama." He blushed.
"What were you t-talking about?" He stammered. Nejire elbowed Y/n.
"Hey.." She pouted. "Well, Miri and Neji were saying that they were gonna kiss." She teased. "And... well, they asked who my kiss was. As if i actual know." She twirled her h/c locks between her fingers.
"O-Oh." Tamaki finally sat down.
Neijre and Mirio rolled their eyes before focusing on the fireworks. They had finally went off. They were so beautiful.
A countdown started.

Tamaki looked around nervously.

Y/n took a sip of her soda.

Mirio brushed Neijre's hair out of her face.

Y/n's parents made jokes about the ending centry.

The some more fireworks blew up in the sky.
