Iida's POV

I started up the engines in my calves and started running. I watched as Tensei got further and further away from me.

"Wait for me Tensei!" I called out to him. He laughed and looked back at me.

"Sorry Tenya, I have school!" He grinned and pet my head before grabbing his bag and running off to UA.

"Bye Tenya!"

"Bye Tensei!"

I ran around the playground, laughing as my friends followed me.

"I'm surprised you're so loose, normally you're uptight!" Ruby laughed as Mei ran over with another invention that she made out of some paper, cardboard, string and elastics.

"I call it the 'Joy-Buzz-Crossbow'! You simply fire the paper and elastics which can be reeled back in with some string! You load it by placing the paper mache spheres into the elastic sling and then place another..." She trailed off explaining everything as my attention wandered off to the trail of blood that led into the forest. Being 4 my curiosity got the best of me.

"Guys look! Let's check it out!" Ruby squealed with excitement as she pointed it out. I nodded and Mei loaded the JBC (as she calls it). We slowly crept up to the trail and looked around. It led into the darker parts of the forest, the parts we weren't allowed to go to. Ruby smiled and ran forwards screaming

"ADVENTURE!" Her voice was full of excitement.

"Ruby wait!" I ran in after her and Mei.

"Ruby!"

"Mei!"

"Tenya!"

"Tenya!"

"Tenya?"

"Iida?"

"Are they going to be ok?"

"... ...... is unfortunately paralysed from the waist down..."

".... all in a coma..."

".... ...... is blind and their arms are broken beyond repair..."

"..... .... has possible Amnesia and is missing his left eye and his right leg..."

Cold. That's the first thing I felt in weeks. I couldn't move. I couldn't feel my body. I was a prisoner, and that prison was my own skin. The only thing I can do is listen. Listen whilst everyone else tries to talk to me.

From what I've heard it's nearly been a year that I've been in what they call a coma. I call it a prison. I hear voices from time to time. There's one that comes more often than the others. The other voices call him "Tensei". I don't know why the name feels familiar. The word that he says most often is "Hero". They're meant to save people. He says that they were there before I got put in this prison, that there was a Villain who put us in this state. The last thing I remember before this was seeing a young girl and boy who both had knives, they were snacking on some blood... then a man came and attacked us. He was using some sort of fire but punched as well.

Today I was able to slightly move my finger, it's the first sign of progress after another year in this state. I remember 3 names as well, one I think is mine as that's what people are calling me. Then the other two I'm sure are my friends, I remember their faces as well.
Mei Hatsume and her tracking like eyes. Her bubblegum pink hair and bubbly personality. The pink that dusted her face whenever I would compliment her inventions.
Ruby Tsukin and her ruby red eyes. Her Ivy green hair and the sweet scent that appeared whenever she entered a room. The way that we could hold silent conversations just by thinking because of her quirk.
Tenya Iida, I think that's my name. I'm not sure what I look like though.

I blink my eyes a few times. Struggling to keep them open. I hear someone gasp from beside me. I struggle to sit up but a hand pushes me down.

"You've been in a come for two years Tenya, you need time before you can get up," I recognise the voice as the person called Tensei.

"Where's R-Ruby and Mei?" I ask the guy. My voice is raspy due to lack of use. He has dark blue hair and blue eyes. His face falls and his eyes stare at the ground.

"Ruby... she didn't make it... Mei woke up yesterday, she's in physical therapy," Tensei says. His voice is soft but full of guilt.

"W-what do you mean?" He locks eyes with me and sighs.

"She died an hour ago..." my bottom lip twitches and turns up. Tears from my eyes and I let them fall.

"I'm sorry Tenya..." His eyes are guilty and I can tell he's suppressing his own tears, trying to act strong.

"Tenya, how much do you remember?" He asks after a few minutes.

"I remember Mei and... Ruby... I remember bits of what happened and the guy who attacked us he called himself... 'Endeavor' I think..." I heard sobs coming from the door. I saw Tensei crying as well.

It had been 2 years of hell. I had to hang with heroes. Tensei is apparently my older brother. Tensei became a pro but he's no better than the rest of the fakes, the posers, the real villains. Mei agrees with me. She told me about what I was like before the accident. In my opinion, I had a stick up my ass. I can still be serious but it's rare and only happens if the situation is serious.
My left eye is glass and I have a metal right leg from the knee down.

I was rounding the corner with Mei when I saw a boy around the same age as us crying in an alley. A guy in a suit seemed to be comforting him before a purple portal opened and they walked through. Without thinking I grabbed Mei and ran in...
