As soon as I opened my eyes we were in a whole new city. We weren't in my old house or in that bedroom. In fact, we were standing in front of a giant building that almost looked like a skyscraper, but a tiny bit smaller. My mom was fixing her hair as I looked around. The entire town was gorgeous as it was covered flowers and fresh fruits. The town sparkled with every house being painted navy blue and white. The town had multiple among multiple trees big or small that filled every inch. The view was breathtakingly beautiful.
"Beautiful isn't it?" My mother asked me, but all I could manage was my mouth wide open and nodding my head. Finally when I gained my composer I asked, "where are we?"
My mother smiled, "Heart Love Town. Home of where all of our race lives."
"We live here?" I asked, "that's AMAZING!"
"Well, it is the only place we are safe," my mother warned, "we must find Clarence."
"Who's?" but my mother stopped me, "I'll explain on the way. He will be little upset we are not there yet. He sent me to come after you anyway." Almost like magic my mother got us a taxi cab and told him, "Clarence manor," as the taxi cab driver nodded. As we drove in the town the view became prettier. The shops were all different bright colors and trees with bushes covered every inch it could. When it seemed we left the town and were on a different path my mother spoke in a hush tone.
"King Clarence is the ruler of our race Bella," her voice hurried, "he'll be very please to meet you Bella. He is the one who granted our family of our beautiful gift." I smiled until I realized that beautiful gift is what ultimately had dad killed. Pictures of my dad started to enter my mind when my mom shock her head, "you must not feel any emotion inside other than happiness. It will....upset King Clarence okay?" my mom started to sweat, "and be careful what you think about," before I could ask what she meant the taxi driver stopped at a huge beautiful mansion. It matched the rest of the town with colors and trees, but you could tell that royalty lived here.
My mom and I walked out of the taxi cab and slowly up to the entrance of the manor. It was a long entrance way full of hard wooden stairs and a beautiful white front door that looked ten feet tall. My mother and I climbed the stairs as a man in a suit opened the door.
"Ah, Cindy welcome back to the manor dear," he was holding a silver dinner plate in his hand with two glasses filled with champagne. My mother grabbed one, but turned towards me, "she doesn't drink Angus just get her some water will work."
Angus shock his head, "the King won't be happy she doesn't drink."
My mother rolled her eyes, "she is a little girl still Angus why does she need to drink?"
Angus nodded, "she must take the glass anyway. The king will find it very rude, you know this," his eyebrow tilted, "but she doesn't have to drink the whole thing. If she tries..."
My mother stopped him, "just give her the glass Angus."
Angus smiled and tipped the silver plate near me. Without much hesitation I grabbed the drink and took a sip. Angus smiled again, "well, doesn't she pick up fast?" My mother's mouth was hanging open as if her five year old daughter stole from her wine cellar. Angus, the butler guided us inside the manor and told us to wait at the entrance, "I will fetch the king for you."
The manor was huge with a staircase that seemed to be endless stood in front of us. The inside was filled with old furniture and sculptures. It was probably family air looms or something because everything looked decades old. I sipped more from the glass of champagne. I didn't like the taste, but I couldn't make it obvious. At least, that is what Angus the butler made it seem like. Just as I was observing an old picture frame King Clarence entered the room. He had on beautiful red and navy blue royal clothing and a expensive staff in his hand. At the moment, no crown was on top of his head. I looked over as my mother bowed and I quickly follower her footsteps. I try not to think of anything negative or mean because mother told me not too.
"Please there's no need for all of this," Clarence smiled, "Cindy what a pleasure to see you. Is this your daughter?"
My mother raised as I still remained bowed. My mother gestured for me to stop as she started to talk, "Yes, your highness. This is my daughter Isabella."
Clarence smiled and started to walk towards me. My body stiffed because I was unsure of what would happen. He smiled again, "there's no need to be frighten my dear," he grabbed my hand and kissed the top of it, "it is a pleasure to finally meet you."
My mother chimed in, "where here for...," but Clarence placed a finger over her mouth, "I know why you're here Cindy. You've brought the finally piece to the puzzle."
I was confused because what exactly did that mean? She told me to be careful of what I thought and felt because it seemed that Clarence had powers of his own so I tried not to think much. Clarence turned and smiled at me, "you're the finally piece that I've been waiting for Isabella," he was talking in almost a whisper than suddenly shouted, "ANGUS!"
Angus rushed into the room, "Yes you're highness?"
"Bring me the book," and Angus nodded as he walked out to grabbed the book. My mother's body stiffen and I felt her anxiety pulse within my chest. What was she so nervous about? Before any of my questions were answered Angus brought a similar looking book that my mom read from before transporting us here. He flipped to page 50,000 and began to read,
"Once the mother has brought the daughter who's name is Isabella the finally process may be completed. The daughter who accepted the quest must now enter phase one. Phase one consist of training with the royal family and preparation for the war."
"Beautiful isn't it?" Clarence smiled at me, "you're the key to finally finishing off the evil that lurks outside this town. The same evil that once killed your father."
"Don't think," I heard my mother talk to me inside my head, "I'll answer anything later. Don't answer back," and I followed my mothers order.
King Clarence looked at both me and my mother, "will you two be staying the night? Training will began in the morning." Both my mother and I nodded our heads. I looked up at the huge clock that hung on the wall above the endless staircase. It read, "12 am" and that's when I knew all my questions wouldn't be answered until the morning. My mother and I both walked up to the endless staircase.
"Your room is on the 25th level to the left," muttered Angus the butler. My mother and I nodded as we walked up to the room.
"Tomorrow?" I asked as she nodded, "tomorrow."
