Based off a gift I got for my birthday:) (1/f/n) means 1st friend's name, (2/f/n) = 2nd friend's name, (3/f/n) = 3rd friend's name, (b/f/n) = best friend's name.
"Should we do presents?" (1/f/n) asked me. After all it was my birthday
"Yeah! I'm good with that if you all are." I replied. They all said yes and shook there heads.
I picked up the first present from (1/f/n). It was something in the shape of a tall cylinder. I took the tape and part of the wrap off from the top. I then turned the present upside down so my gift could slide out. It fell to my carpeted floor with a thud and I immediately picked it up. It was my favorite perfume!!
"Thank you so much! I love it!" I thanked (1/f/n) for my gift.
I picked up the next which was from my best friend, (b/f/n). I could tell that the gift was probably a funko pop due to the shape of it. I started unwrapping it and as soon I did I found an iron on patch on top of the funko that said 'I love you to the grave and back' and under was a Jack Skellington funko pop! So I had been right, he was so cute and I could wait to add it to my collection.
"It's so cute! I love it so much! Thank you (b/f/n)!" I thanked her.
I grabbed the next gift, it was from (2/f/n). It was in a bag that was brown with gold sparkles. Besides that it wasn't really wrapped so I grabbed the first thing in the bag. I pulled out a long sleeved shirt that was black. It said 'Star Wars' and in the letters, there was Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and two of his imperial officers. The art style of the characters was an anime art style and below the title with the characters, there was 'Star Wars' again but in Japanese. The writing was a peachy pink color and the title in Japanese was also on one of the sleeves. I couldn't wait to wear it! I looked in the bad again and there was something fluffy so I pulled it out. It was another black long sleeved shirt. I turned it around and on the front, in sequins was Jack Skellington's face with a Santa hat on. I loved them, I immediately started thinking of when I was going wear them.
"Oh my gosh! I love these, they are so cute and I can't wait to wear them! Thank you!" I once again thanked my friend for the birthday present. My dad had asked her where she had gotten the shirts from. Surprisingly she found them at Walmart. I had one more present to open, it was from (3/f/n).
I grabbed the last gift. It was a long rectangle and at first I kind of thought that it could've been a shirt. So I opened it and I was first met with four pack Of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, which I loved. I took the four pack off of the item under to see what the other gift was and I was met with extreme happiness. It was a Supreme Leader Kylo Ren action figure from The Rise Of SkyWalker. I was in love with it.
"YESSSS!!!!" I yelled as I held the box in the air. "I absolutely love it! Thank you guys for all the presents, I can't wait to put wear them and put the others in my room." I hugged each of my friends and thanked them all again.
It was now around 11:30ish. I was in a pair of shorts with a random T-shirt on, getting ready for bed. I wouldn't be sleeping in my room because we had painted it. The paint had been the present from my parents and was really grateful. I placed my pillow on one end of my living room couch and put a couple blankets down as well. To keep all the gifts from my friends safe from paint, I put them on a little table next to my couch. Before I turned off all the lights, I picked up the Kylo action figure once more. I loved it. His outfit was perfect, along with all the cracks in his helmet due to it being broken then getting it rebuilt. I then carefully set it town on the small table, I turned the lights off then walked back to couch pulling my blankets over me. I laid my head down on the pillow and fell into a deep sleep.
I opened my eyes in search of my phone. Once I had found it I checked the time, it was currently 3:38 am. I didn't understand why I was wake, but I think it had to due with my body being stupid, waking me up for no reason like it had done in the past. I sat up and looked around my basement for anything out of the ordinary. I didn't see anything until I had looked down the hallway that was to the right of the couch and myself. Through the dark, I made out a tall figure. Because it was so tall I was guessing that it was a man. It also looked like he was dressed in all black. What the actual heck was going on?! Who was this, were they planning to kill me, or steal from my family then kill my parents and I? I was frightened. I grabbed my phone then carefully got up from the couch, making no noise and quietly ran upstairs.
I walked quickly to my parents room to wake them and warn them about the intruder, but they weren't there. I opened my phone, hoping to find a reason for them being absent. I found a text from my mom saying that they had ran to the hospital. Apparently my grandma had fallen and hit her head, causing her to crack it open. For one, why was my grandma up at 3:43 am and for two, this had to happen tonight?!! I knew I couldn't just wait around to see what would happen so I walked to my kitchen, grabbing our biggest and sharpest knife we owned. I had never used it for anything before due how sharp it really was, I once had watched my dad cut through a coconut with it before. I started making my way downstairs, knife in hand, fearful but prepared for almost anything.
I reached the bottom of the stairs and looked around the corner to see if the man, or whoever it was, was still there. To my luck, he wasn't, and I started to panic. My heart rate quickened and I was sure that it could be heard. I was terrified, I didn't want to do this, I just wanted to go back to sleep. But out of my bravery, I took a step forward, my hand with the knife raised. I carefully walked down the hallway making sure I wasn't making a sound, then walked into the first room. It was a bathroom and I decided to first check behind the door. Nothing was there. I let out a sign that I didn't know I had been holding. The tile floor had let out a groan behind me and a loud buzzing sound could be heard. The room glowed red as I felt an intense heat on the right side of my neck.
