Regina
The police officer uncuffs me as we make it to reception. The lady behind the desk gets me to sign some release forms before I get given my belongings back. "Did you call my brother?" I ask but she ignores me and I grit my teeth. Yesterday night, my friends and I had got thrown into separate jail cells at the police station. Only now am I getting released, alone. "Who paid my bail?" she doesn't answer me and I bang my hand on her desk, "At least tell me if my friends are out." "I don't have to answer to delinquents." She states as she signals an officer and I get thrown out of the station. "Up yours, Lady!" I yell as the door shuts behind me. I hear laughter and I look up to see some old friends. Oh my god, "What are you guys doing here?!" I ask with the biggest smile on my face. Jason steps forward from the group and I jump into his arms laughing, "I'm your emergency contact remember?" and I shake my head, I totally forgot. When my father left and when Trevor got taken away, Colton and I had no one but these guys. These guys are Trevors old friends, even when he was gone they took care of us like we were one of their own. "When he got the call from the police, we just knew that this would be the perfect time to visit." Tyson said as he pulls me in for the next hug, "good to know you aren't staying out of trouble kid." He murmurs next to my ear and I laugh. "Alright our turn." Says the twins, James and Henry as they sandwich me in a bear hug. "We've misses you so damn much." "I've missed you guys too." I say genuinely as I enjoy their company. "You gonna introduce us to your friends?" I hear from behind me and I break away from their hug. "Mase! Nolan!" I say looking between them, "You're out!" I happily make the introductions. "Thanks for looking out for our girl here." Comments Jason as he pats my head, "she's always getting into fights." He says and I swat his hand away, "Hey! It's not like I go looking for them!" I defend, "and yet here you are ... in jail... once again." Henry teases and I cringe. That's right, I have been locked up before. It was back in Casterfield and it was because I was in a fight that THESE guys started, not me. I look around at the Casterfield boys, "Ever think that... I get into a bunch of fights because I hang out with a bunch of delinquents?" I ask and they all laugh. In that moment we hear the station doors burst open, three police officers walk out shoving a struggling Kayden. "God damn it, just tell me if she's in there!" He yells as he pulls his arm out from an officers grip. One of the boys whistles low at the sight, "wow, that guys an absolute tank." whispers James to us and Jason nods his head. "Holly shit... is that Kayden Caulfield?" Tyron asks squinting his eyes in their direction and the boys take a look once again. "What the fuck? It is." confirms Henry as I move to get closer. "Kayden!" I call out to him and he stills. He turns around and at the sight of me he relaxes. The police officers grunt and go back inside. "They could of just told me..." Kayden glares at their backs. "It would of saved them a lot of trouble." I say as I hug him. He kisses the top of my head, holding me in his arms. "How did you get out?" "Some old friends payed the bail." I say grinning up at him. He looks from me to the group who wait by the car and groans, "why is it that you are only friends with guys?" "Cause girls hate me on sight." I state as I drag him by the hand to my friends.
We pick up the cars at the skatepark before I take everyone back to my place. "We are home!" I call out joyfully and an angry Trevor comes bounding down the stairs, "AND WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEn-" he begins to yell but at the sight of his old friends he loses the words. "You guys!" He says as he jumps into the group of them. They all laugh and hug amongst each other. My brother in the middle as they ruffle his hair and throw an arm around him. It feels so good to have us all here in one place, old friends and new.
"Alright!" I clap getting their attention, "Let's throw a party, show you boys what you are missing!" I say and the boys cheer in agreement. "Yeah! Trust me, once you've seen the girls here you may never want to go back." Trevor says as he pulls out his phone. "Awe god don't tempt us." says Jason as he throws and arm around me, "We just got here... but from what we could see, this place is great." Henry nods in agreement, "Sun, Skate, Surf... now you telling me the girls are bombshells? It's too good to be true!" "Well it's true!" I chime in "You should all move here!" I throw the idea out there and they chuckle, "You just don't want us to leave." says Jason as he wraps his other arm around me, trapping me in a hug. I hug him tight, "Yes." I whine, "Don't leave me." "You two seem ... friendly." Comments a sleepy Kayden as he lays back on the lounge. "Too friendly..." adds a suspicious Trevor. "That's probably because these two dated for a bit." Chuckles James, he's always been the one to stir shit up. Trevor groans, "Oh god! I should have known... you had the biggest crush on him growing up!" I blush and Jason starts to laugh, "I did not!" I deny. "And... I wouldn't consider what we did to be 'dating'" "Yeah." Confirms Jason in between laughter, "We where just friends who make out sometimes." I cringe, that still sounds so bad. Trevor pretends to gag and everyone joins in laughing. Kayden suddenly gets off the couch and walks upstairs, "Hey Kay-" Trevor starts to say but Mase puts a hand on his shoulder, stopping him. "He must be exhausted man. That jail cell wasn't exactly built for comfort." He says patting his shoulder. "You guys where in jail?! How come I am only now hearing about this?" Trevor bursts. "Probably because you where having a good ol'time with those two girls." Nolan reminds him about the three-way. "Oh yes. How could I forget." Trevor replies with a distant look in his eyes, the guys all laugh as they move to sit outside on the deck. I help bring out some beer for them before making an excuse to go to my room. "Kayden?" I call out as I reach the top of the stairs. I find him laying down on my bed. I walk in and close the door behind me. "Hey." I say as I climb in next to him, cuddling his side. He wraps an arm around me but still I can tell something is wrong. "How many guys am I going to have to worry about?" He finally says irritated. "How long am I going to feel this way?" He continues in frustration, "this possessiveness... this sinking feeling I get when I see you with another guy..." he pauses trying to find the words, "I guess I just need to know... are you mine? I need you to tell me." I sit up from my position and look down at him, I think for a moment "I can't answer that." I say looking into his eyes, "I've always said that I want you but we can't really be anything, Kayden. You know this." I shake my head "I can't be yours and you can't be mine." Kayden looks mad, he gets up from the bed, "so what? We are just 'friends who make out sometimes'" he growls reusing the words that were said down stairs. "I can't do that, Regina." He says pacing the room, "I want more than what that guy had, I want more than any guy. I want all of it, I want you." He pauses "but I'm beginning to I think that I want you more than you want me." The air in the room has gone intense. I stand up from the bed and go to his side. "Kayden no- I" I don't have the words, I feel overwhelmed with emotion. I look at him searching his face and he shakes his head as he walks out of my room, banging the door. "I'm so stupid." I groan to myself as I lay back on my bed.
