I roll over instinctively and open my eyes, cringing as I hear the loud siren of my alarm blaring and then I cry out loud as a pillow flies across the room and whacks me in the face before I can turn it off
"Jeezus Lexi, what the hell..." I start, sitting up and rubbing my eyes, only to find a large, tanned, overtly muscly guy staring at me. His eyes are red and his mouth is formed into a crumpled line.
He seems.... mad. And he looks..... hot!
"Will you turn that bloody howling thing off before I launch the whole bed at you." He whines and sinks back down into Lexi's bed.
I quickly shut off the alarm and pat myself down, silently sending a prayer to the pyjama gods that I remembered to wear something decent to bed last night and relieved that I haven't flashed someone accidentally.
"Sorry." I whisper before coming to my senses a little more and asking;
"Who the hell are you by the way and where is my roommate?" I swing my legs over the edge of my bed and run my foot over the baseball bat tucked nicely underneath my bed.
Safety first. My parents rules. I don't know who this guys is or how he got here!
I hear a grunt or two before he - man rolls over to face me and forces himself to sit up. He looks a little familiar but all these beef cakes look the same to me if I'm being completely honest.
"I'm Jarrod. Lexi's......friend." He boasts confidently, a small ghost of a smile on his full lips before he blows out a short breath and continues with a confused look on his face. Most likely because I haven't replied and I'm standing here saying nothing, staring, stunned. I'm not though. I'm just ogling at the proximity of his crazy hot bod.
He continues slowly;
"Lex is getting coffee. I'm sorry if I scared you but I wasn't expecting an early wake up today." He says with a half smirk.
Sexy.
I can see what Lexi sees in him. I'm not blind to the attraction of such a guy. I can just imagine what his big arms can do. And those hands....
I snap out of it as I realise I'm just staring at him, mouth open and maybe even drooling a little. The look on his face tells me he is more than used to it. The smirk grows and I let out a small cough as my nervous energy overtakes my sanity.
"Ellis." I say with a slight nod as I scramble to gather some work out shorts, a sports bra and cheer shirt from the closet floor and head into the bathroom to change before I have a small heart attack and embarrass myself any further.
"Nice to meet you Ellis." He says with a small smile as I close the door and he makes himself comfortable in Lexi's bed just as I hear the door swing open. I pop my head out as soon as I'm dressed and see a coffee carrying Lexi, who looks flawless as usual in her work out gear. She shoots me an apologetic look.
"Ellis, I assume you have met Jarrod?" She says with a wink as she hands him a large cup and extends a similar looking cup to me, a peace offering for waking up with a strange guy in my room I assume.
I accept it and give her an all knowing look, nodding my head to him and earning a small smile and a head shake from her. I assume I will hear all about it later.
"Well, I'm heading off for a run now so you two can have the place to yourselves for a while, an hour at least." I say with a huge grin on my face as I head out the door. I turn to close it and catch a glimpse of the shirtless form of Jarrod as he stands to throw his Thor like arms around the tiny frame of Lexi. He throws her to the bed like she is his hammer and I slam the door before I catch anymore of the show.
