Spider-man: Start of a hero

Beginnings

It's 2pm in the afternoon when I decide to get up. I stand up and stumble a bit before reaching the door.

It's the summer after my freshman year and I'm exhausted. Me and my family just moved here last night, and moving furniture was a drag.

I stumble less every second I'm awake and head towards the bathroom to get ready for the fun day ahead. My mom got me admission into the Rockwell Inc Bio labs .

It's a two story building separate from the official Rockwell Inc building.

I brush my teeth and wash my face in hot water, waking me up for sure. I comb my hair while looking in the mirror. I look at my face, having a scrape from falling down yesterday while going downstairs .

I put the comb back on the counter and go back to my room to get dressed. I put on my black shirt with white pants and head downstairs.

I see my sister and laugh seeing her struggle to pick up a box. " shut up and help" she says while struggling. I get on the other end of the box and lift with her, taking it upstairs with her.

We place it down on the floor and sit on down . " hey Jackie, can you take me down to the Bio labs?" She looks at me with annoyance and groans. " I guess so, but your walking back " we go downstairs and head out to her car.

It takes 20 minutes until we arrive. " okay here we are, if anything happens call me or mom okay? " I look back at her and nod.

I exit the car and head towards the entrance . I see a counter with two separate paths on each side of it. The lady at the counter looks at me and smiles. " you must be Samuel, your mother told me you were coming today, right this way" she says while pointing towards the path on the right.

She walks down it and I follow behind her. We arrive in the exhibits, showing many different experiments. One has a bird-like creature with a tail and four limbs.

I look in amazement at all the amazing experiments in the exhibits. The woman turns towards me and smiles. " feel free to roam the exhibits from here on, I'll be at the counter if you need me" she walks away and leaves back towards the front.

I look around and look at the exhibits closer. I hear a shriek and look towards the source of it. I see an elevator and decide to be curious and investigate. I enter the elevator and press the button for the 1st sub level.

I arrive to hear the shriek again, this time louder than before. I sneak through the level and see some men at a panel, and a strange white liquid in a containment cell. One of the men press a button on the panel and the cell bursts with electricity, causing the white liquid to move erratically and shrieks.

" its been hours and its still alive" one of the men say annoyed. The other gets angry and tells him to crank it to full power. The man turns a knob and presses the button again.

The liquid shrieks and moves more erratically than before. " this is taking too long, Let's take a break and continue later " the angry man says. They both leave and head down a hallway .

I walk towards the cell to take a look at the liquid. It moves excitedly as I approach it . I see a button marked: open, I place my hand on the button and look at the liquid.

" I don't know what you are, but nothing deserves this torture" I press the button, opening the cell. The liquid slumps to the ground. I look at its weird movement. it crawls up the wall and towards the ceiling.

I begin to walk away when I feel something grab me and pull me towards the ceiling. I look to see it's the white liquid trying to cover my body.

I pins me against the wall, making me unable to move. It covers my neck and slowly begins to cover my face.

It's seconds before everything begins to fade to black. I feel my body becoming numb, and then pass out.
