I took a motorcycle taxi to get back to my aunt and uncle's house. My stubborn mind refused to think clear and confront P'Finn about that moment so I ran away. Again.
My heart was breaking.
If that wasn't Sheila, I probably wouldn't have left. But that was his ex. Why would he let her put food in his mouth?!
Arriving at the house, I found my sisters and France singing the karaoke again. I heard their squabble about getting the highest score.
"I would beat your score, Mr. Titan!" Armina was holding the microphone, challenging the person I met last night.
"Bran!" Phillip got off his seat when he saw me enter the living room.
"You guys are having fun." I said as Aria pushed me to sit next to our guest.
"Yeah." Phillip laughed. "Your sister and I are competing, both of us being tone deaf."
"He's here to ask us to court you, Beandy." Aria drawled, winking at me. France was grinning from ear to ear as he hugged the pink bear in her lap.
As Armina began to show off her skills in singing, I forgot that only minutes ago, my heart was ripped. The living room was lively as France and Aria shared laughters and tears over Armina's rendition of My Heart Will Go On.
"So, I met most of your family already," Phillip said after tapping my arm to get my attention. "I heard your parents will be here tomorrow."
"Yeah." I nodded. "Mom was just waiting for my dad to come home."
Phillip leaned over me and said, "By the way, I called your phone last night. I must have dialed a wrong number because some dude answered. It didn't sound like you at all."
"What did he say?"
"He said, 'Stop calling my wife'." He chuckled. "Did you give me the wrong number?"
I shrugged.
"Aw. I was looking forward to hearing your voice on the phone. I wanted to say goodnight again."
Phillip's hand was tapping on my thigh this time when the front door opened and revealed P'Finn. His face was unreadable as he looked at me.
I didn't know why suddenly, I wanted to make him jealous. I turned my eyes back to Phillip and flashed him a smile.
Leaning over to him, I said, "Give me your number. I'll call you instead."
Phillip's face was red as I pulled away. He held his hand out for me to give my phone to him. I took it just as a hand tapped on my shoulder.
"Bran, get your food from the car. Your bear, too."
"Yeah," I responded to the owner of the voice, trying hard not to feel affected by his presence. "Later. I'm talking to someone."
"Now, please." P'Finn pressed his fingers on my shoulder almost making me wince. "Hi, Phil," he greeted the person next to me casually.
Phillip gave me my phone back so I stood up to go outside.
"That hurt!" I hissed at P'Finn soon after he followed me to his car parked in the garage.
His eyes were intense as he grabbed me and threw me in the backseat before closing the door behind him.l. It was dark outside. He didn't turn the lights on inside his car.
I was struggling from his grasp, wanting to get out but he wouldn't budge. I was pushed down on the seat before I felt his lips crashing on mine.
"Hmmph...! S-Stop it!" I squirmed as quietly as I could.
He didn't stop.
His hand held my arms tucked beside me, his right knee between my legs as he ravaged my lips. Feeling defeated by my emotions, by my need and want for his touch, I let myself go limp underneath him.
He stopped.
"Why are you driving me crazy?!" His voice sounded hurt, also angry as he slumped his face on my chest. "How many times are you going to run away? And what the fuck is Phillip doing here?!"
"Why don't I ask same kind of question?" I spat as I pushed him away. "Why do you keep leading me on, doing these things with me when you're still hung up on your ex?!"
"What?"
I sat up and with the lights from outside seeping into the car, I saw his disheveled look. His eyes looked at me with confusion.
"Your ex!" I hissed. My jealousy was rising the more I dwelt into the scene I saw last night and earlier. "You were looking at her last night. And earlier, she was feeding you!"
His brows furrowed and was soon replaced by that boyish smirk. "You meant Sheila? She's not my ex. And besides, she's with a girl. We're friends. I was the one who introduced her to Sam, her current girlfriend."
I felt like a bucket of embarrassment was dumped on me. Ice cold it was.
I know who Sam is. She was that girl who would tease me back in middle school and then make P'Finn ran all the way from the high school department to comfort me.
She's weird.
"W-What?"
"Oh god, baby." P'Finn gathered me in his arms and entrapped me for a want hug and kisses on my lips. "Was that why you ran away?" He chuckled against my cheek. "She was making me try the food her mother was selling at a stall. I didn't want her to so she forced it. Sam was there, making fun of me."
"I-I thought she was flirting with you," I mumbled.
"I would say 'gross'." He laughed softly against my hair, keeping me in his arms. "There's no one else, Bran."
"I'm sorry," I uttered as I pulled away.
He pinched the tip of my nose before kissing it. "It's alright. I'm sorry about what I did earlier, too. Don't entertain any boy or girl. Especially that Phillip. You're mine already. Stop making me jealous."
My stomach and my chest fluttered at his possessive voice.
I abruptly stopped myself from leaning into his face for a kiss when the lights in the garage turned on.
"Damn it." I heard him curse as opened the door and stepped out. Uncle Draco came was walking towards him.
"Where's Bran?"
Acting like nothing happened, I stepped out of the car from the other side. "I'm here, uncle." I took the panda from the front seat and walked around to head back inside.
"Oh. We've been looking for you," uncle said to me. "Phillip was asking me if he could take you to the disco later."
"He's twenty years old, Dad," P'Finn interrupted. "He can decide on his own.
"But he's my precious second son," uncle drawled, smiling at me.
"Oh, he will be," P'Finn mumbled as he pulled me towards the front door. "He's gonna be my wife," he whispered to me.
