I was glad the song was ending when he asked me that question. For the umpteenth time, I made my escape from P'Finn.
Walking towards the spot my sisters and France were, I hid my shaking nerves. "Hey, I'll be outside," I told Armina. "Watch over France, okay?"
She nodded with furrowed brows. P'Finn would be there to watch the three of them so I left. Outside, I walked past the vendors selling drinks and snacks in the side of the wide walkpath.
Everything was loud and blurry as I ran towards the road. I was searching for any means of transport to get home when someone blocked my way.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"Oh. Hi, Phillip." I nodded at him as I continued walking. "I'm just looking for a motorcycle taxi to get home."
"Isn't Finnegan going to send you home?"
Halting on my steps, I turned to Phillip. "You know each other?"
"Yeah. We went to the same college. I live on the sixth street by the way."
"Ah, I see."
"Let me send you home. Where do you live?"
"I'm staying at my aunt's house. In eighth street."
A smile curved on Phillips face. "I have a car. Let me send you home."
I didn't know why I trusted him and just went along with it. Well at least he turned out to be okay when he sent me exactly where I asked him to.
"You're staying at Finn's house?"
"Yeah. We're cousins."

Phillip ended up being invited inside the house when Aunt Gianna peeked outside and saw us. I had to lie about not feeling well that I had to go home ahead of the others.
"Feeling better?" My aunt asked me after I finished the cup of tea she gave me. I gave her a soft smile to tell her that I was.
Phillip's stay was extended when my uncle engaged him to a conversation regarding cars. I learned that Phillip was fond of cars. They hit it off. My aunt and I were mostly quiet as she watched a tv show, and I, lost in my own painful thoughts.
A couple of hours passed and Phillip excused himself to go home. I got up to send him outside. "Thanks for sending me home, Phi," I told him as he stopped in front of his car.
"You're welcome," he replied, smiling. A car pulled up into the driveway just as Phillip asked for my phone number. I gave it to him and he happily drove away.
"You went home to elope?!" Armina yelled from the backseat after rolling the windows down. From the side of my eye, I saw P'Finn open the gates for his car to come in.
I winked at my sister before turning around and going back inside. I heard there sets of squeals as I left tbem. Passing by the living room, I told aunt and uncle that I would be heading upstairs to sleep.
"Goodnight, sweetie." Aunt Gianna stood up to give me a hug.
"Goodnight, auntie. Uncle."
"Good night, bud. Don't oversleep. We have a big day tomorrow."
"Aye aye."
I heard them chukle as I made my way into the steps.

I was done taking another shower and getting dressed into my pajamas, then brushing my teeth in the bathroom, when I heard movements in the room. Like every time I know it's P'Finn, my heart raced.
I couldn't possibly stay in there and maybe sleep there, too, so I hesitantly stepped out.
"What's this?"
I lifted my head when he asked me a question. He was pointing at the futon I laid on the floor earlier before going inside the bathroom.
"I'm sleeping there," I told him.
He didn't say anything to me. Instead, he grabbed the futon and shoved it back in the closet where I took it from. "Hey!" I protested.
"Sleep on the bed, Bran," he said sternly before stepping into the bathroom.
My nervousness turned into anger. I've been trying to not be in any way around his personal space and yet he kept doing these things!
I cursed under my breath as I opened the closet and yanked the futon out and the pillow with it. I lay it all back on the floor and slumped my body in it.
Still ranting about my case, I heard my phone ring and grabbed it like a madman. Some unknown number was calling me. I declined the call because at this hour, only spam calls would come to me. It couldn't be an agent calling about changing my phone service or another type of product they wish to offer me.
The same number called again after a couple of minutes. Then I remembered, it could be Phillip. I was about to answer it when I heard a growl. I was pretty sure it was a growl.
My phone got yanked out of my hand and in no time that followed, I was pulled out of my bedding and thrown on another. My body slightly bounced in P'Finn's bed.
"What the hell, P'Finn?!!!"
He threw me a hard look as he picked up my phone again. He dialed a number and as I tried to take it away, he angrily spat on the other line, "Stop calling my wife!"
My hands reaching for him, froze in the air upon hearing those words. His wife?
"P-P'Finn?" I croaked as he put my phone down and climbed on the bed with me. I was blinking in confusion, my ears were hot and pulsating.
My whole body heated up when he slowly lay his half naked body next to me, wrapping me in his arms. I felt his breath against my forehead as he pulled me close.
I couldn't move.
I didn't want to.
"Nervous?" He asked me the same question he did earlier when we slow danced. I didn't give him a retort. I nodded instead. "I am, too."
I gulped hard after he said that.
"W-Why?" I asked hoping it was because he had the same reason. Please let it be the same reason...
"You know the answer to it," he rasped against my skin before he lifted my chin with his fingers and made me look back at him.
My heart was beating hard that I could hear it along with the rising temperature in the ridges of my ears. His eyes were creating more and more tension as I looked into them.
P'Finn's minty breath was softly fanning my face, I was getting hotter from it. My whole body was getting feverish. And when he leaned closer to cut the gap between us, I melted.
I burned and melted.
