Chapter 19

You closed the door of the taxi and looked at your house. A flashback from that night came in your mind and you shivered.
You erased it immediately and forced yourself to think about something else.
You looked at Baekhyun, who was paying the taxi driver.
You cheeks blushed out of nowhere and you thought of your moment with him in the hospital. That wonderful kiss.

The taxi drived away and Baekhyun grabbed your hand. He looked at you with his cute eyes and if he had telepathy he sended you a message. 'Are you ready to go in?'
You nodded and squeezed his hand, because of the fear who will come when you enter your house. Baekhyun unlocked the door and you went inside, still holding hands.
Another flashback, but you kept yourself strong by closing your eyes for a second and squeezing Baeks hand once more.

You wanted to enter the living room so you opened the door.
A shivering went inside your body and you totally lost it when you saw there was people in there who screamed "Surprise!"
You screamed and hugged Baekhyun tightly. Some tears rolled down your cheeks and you closed your eyes and hide your face against his chest.
With him, you feel save.

"Areum-ssi it's okay. They're your friends."
Baekhyun said to comfort you. Slowly you opened your eyes and looked at them.
It were indeed your friends.
It was Exo and some of your new members who you became close with.
You sighed in relief and tried to dry your eyes, but tears kept falling.
Baekhyun couldn't see you cry anymore and put his arms around you to comfort you.
"Don't cry. I don't like to see you cry."

He started the wipe of the tears with his thumbs and smiled at you.
You smiled back and you almost couldn't understand why he makes you so happy, but it's because you love him.
You love him more than anything else in the world and you hope that he loves you back.

You looked around and apologized to everyone
"I'm sorry. It became a little too much, but it's okay now." you smiled at them and bowed.
Some of them started saying that you didn't have to apologize, but when they said that, you bowed once more.
You turned around to face Baekhyun, who was now behind you because he took you jacket and hung it on the coat rack.
You're eyes met his and inside, you melted.
"How did they come in?" You asked him, with butterflies in your stomach.
"I gave them the key you gave me." He said, smiling at you.

Suddenly, you remembered something.
"Oh... My fish!" You almost runned to the place where the fish bowl stands.
When you arrived there, you saw your fish swimming full of happines.
You sighed and smiled, glad your fish is still alive. It was the last present your mom gived you before passing away.
She didn't had much money. She knew she would die because of cancer, so she decided to give you one last present with her last money.
You smiled more because the sweet memories of your mom and your happy fish who was now begging for food by swimming enthusiastic up and down.

"Did I do a good job?" Baekhyun asked while giving you a backhug.
You nodded. "Yes, thank you for keeping him alive." You smiled and enjoyed the moment.
You both were dozing off until someone akwardly coughed.
You separate immediately and like always, you had blushed cheeks.
Sehun sighed and with his pokerface he sended you a message: 'Go marry.'
He turned his head towards Chanyeol and said:
"Hyung, I won. Give me the money."

Chanyeol looked disappointed and everyone laughed. This was a moment you cherish.
Being here with all those people who care about you, made you happy, although there was someone missing.
"Wait..." You said, looking at everyone.
"Where's Lay?" You asked.
You saw Suho and Baekhyun exchanging a look, but ignored it.
"So? Where is he? Why isn't he here?" You asked again.

"Lay had his own schedule. He's quite busy these days." Xiumin answered.
"Oh... Well... I understand. I'll just imagine him being here." You were a little disappointed, but you could imagine it, because it's a miracle so many people could be here. They all have a busy schedule, but they managed to make time for you.
"Anyone who wants a drink?" You yelled through the house, forgetting all your worries and enjoying this moment.
Your question was responded by enthusiastic voices and you started filling the glass with soju.
