One year flew by faster, then Henry would like to admit. It meant the approach of inevitable. Okay, maybe he was a tad dramatizing, but the coming of Mikaelsons spelled trouble. He didn't want to hurt any of his siblings. Why couldn't people just get along? He wasn't sure if any of them would recognize him, did he want them to? Of course, he did, they were his family too. He was unsure how would they react. Even though, he had only memories of them, instead of growing up with them like Jeremy. But it didn't make them any less of a family. He guessed he would find out now, as he sat tied up and kidnapped, with Elena. Rose and Trevor kidnapped them. Elijah would make an appearance anytime now.

A lot has changed in a year. His family got used to him being a witch, they were no longer weirded out when objects suddenly lifted themselves and went flying to his room, because he was too lazy to stand up and get them himself.

True to his promise, Henry cursed the mortal boys, three months after the curse settled, they were shipped off to the Eichen's house for the mentally ill.

Stefan came clean, telling Elena everything about his past, about Katherine. Vicki stayed human, she had a big fight with Tyler and was now pining after Jeremy. The whole situation was rather weird, considering she was his best friend's sister.

Jeremy stopped taking drugs and started working out, putting on a surprising amount of muscle mass. When Henry asked him about his change in the behavior, he admitted that he was doing it for him. Jeremy said he wanted to be ready to fight anything that came their way and protect his family. Henry was touched by his brother's dedication and loyalty, deepening their bond. There was also a new vampire, who tried to get her claws into Jeremy but a migraine spell and a death threat, courtesy of Henry made her back off. Jeremy just watched amused, as his little brother bared his metaphorical fangs and scared off the unknown vampire chick.

Bonnie got used to being a witch, even trying out a few spells and practicing. Unfortunately, she lost her grandmother when she opened the tomb. Henry could have saved her, but he didn't want to change too much. 'Grams' was unpredictable and as terrible as it made him sound, he didn't want to risk it. She became somewhat of a friend of his, they spent a few hours together, training their magic. Henry was more than happy to help her, considering that he felt guilty for allowing Sheila's death.

Damon released the vampires trapped in the tomb, believing that he would find his precious Katherine in there, turns out she was never there, to begin with. What a surprise. Heartbroken and desperate Damon drank too much and came to him for comfort, after steaming night of passion, they struck a weird and complicated friendship. With both being sarcastic assess, they found a lot in common. His family didn't approve of it, even though he kept Damon from returning to his homicidal tendencies.

Soon in their little town arrived Alaric, who became their favorite teacher. He started dating Jenna, which made things rather awkward at first, but Henry didn't care, as long as Jenna was happy.
