I opened my eyes but only saw darkness. I blinked and blinked but darkness is still the only thing that I can see.

"Hello?" I called out, hearing the desperateness in my cracked voice.

I sat up and felt the floor. It was cold as ice. I waved my arms to feel anything near and finally felt a wall behind me. Placing my hands on the wall, I slowly stood up.

"Um, he-hello?" I called out once again. As I thought that all hope was lost, a flickering light came glowing in the distance. It's amazing to see a small and tiny light brighten up the whole room. And thanks to the light, I finally got to examine the room.

It was a small and dingy room and smelling horribly of something dead, hopefully not dead people. The ceiling was filled with spiderwebs and the floor was covered with dust. Dark dried blood was trickling down the walls. On the wall on the left, shackles were attached and I have the creepy feeling that they were there all along and just waiting to lock my hands up.

I looked around the room and saw an ancient dusty mirror hanging on the right wall. As I walked towards it, the air suddenly grew colder that I feel like someone was breathing at the back of my neck.

I reached the mirror and wiped away the dust that settled on the glass. I instantly regretted it after I saw how terrible my current state is. My face was filled with cuts and bruises. My hair was sticky with sweat and somebody cut it short like a guy's hair.

I lifted my hand to touch the bleeding wound on my left cheek. I winced at the pain and looked back at the light behind me. Should I go into it? I looked back into the mirror but no reflection was staring back at me. It was empty. It only reflected the empty room.

I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't just hallucinating. Opening them once again, I saw my reflection at the mirror just the way it's supposed to be.

I closed my eyes as I sighed with relief. But when I opened them, a girl was staring at me from the mirror. Her face was hideously disfigured.

Her eyes were blood red and it looks like her pale face was splashed with acid. Blood was coming from a wound at her forehead that dribbled down on her face.

I backed away in horror and tried to run towards the light but something suddenly grasped my right ankle. I tugged my foot away but it was still clasped on my foot. I looked down and saw a detached pale bloody hand clutching at my foot.

I screamed with fear and tried to pull away my foot more vigorously to remove the bloody hand. But it gripped me tighter and its fingernails dug into my flesh. Blood flowed out from the wound that it created.

Shrieking with pain, I tried to run towards the light with the detached hand grasped at my foot. I managed to take a few steps but the girl from the mirror suddenly appeared in front of me, blocking the way.

I stopped in my tracks as she came closer until our face was only a few centimeters. I could smell the blood in her breath and see the small bugs crawling inside her tearing pink flesh.

"Give me back my hand first," she whispered into my ear. She raised her right arm and her hand was missing. Veins were sprouting on the bloody end on her wrist and blood was spurting from the veins. Her skin on her right arm was peeled so I could only see her hideous pink flesh.

"Um... Oh, glad to have you take it off me," I said with my cracked voice, trying to keep my composure.

She smiled and her cracked lips showed razor sharp teeth with blood down on the spiky edges.

"No. You take it off," she said as she smiled at me. When she smiles, her face suddenly becomes more distorted.

I gulped and looked back on the hand grasping on my foot. I bent down on my knees and lifted my shaky hands to remove the detached hand from my ankle.

Shaking with disgust and fear, I pried open the fingers one by one. Once I removed the grip of the last finger, I picked it up and handed it over to the girl.

She accepted it without a word though she grinned at me when I handed over her hand. She trudged along the other dark side of the room where she disappeared with the shadows.

I looked back at the mirror a few meters behind me, and saw something written on the glass. I walked towards it hesitantly and saw a message left behind by the girl written in blood.

It read: "TRAPPED. FOREVER."
