"Are the cuffs necessary? I didn't even do anything."

The cop walking pass the cell look at 14-year-old Tatiana and shook her head. "You beat someone up and now he's in the hospital."

"In her defense, he was a Prophet and he kept touching her." Oscar spoke up, his hand wrapping around the bar and showcasing his bloody knuckles.

The cop went to say something, but then another one came over. "The charges were dropped, but he says Tatiana didn't do anything." He explained. "They're free to go."

Tatiana smiled smugly at the female officer, who, in turn, rolled her eyes and walked around to let the two out.  "You guys know you're four years apart, right?  And California law doesn't allow relationships like that with minors?"

Oscar and Tatiana both rolled their eyes because numerous people keep telling them that.  "We know.  We're not stupid."  Oscar stated.  However, were they going to continue to date even though it was technically illegal?  Hell yeah.

Oscar and Tatiana walked out of the cell and on their way to the front, they saw one of the older Santos sitting in the waiting area.  "Are you our ride or are we walking?"

The Santo shook his head and stood up, leading the two teenagers out of the police station.  "How did both of you ended up getting arrested this time?"

"I was defending myself."

"I was just mad."

The Santo shook his head at the two as all 3 of them piled into the car.  "What happened to being un ángel?"

"Angel?  She's more dangerous than most of the cholas."

Tatiana woke up the next morning after the party and the first thing she did was groan and put a pillow over her head. However, when she did that, she ended up hitting Oscar's face. "Move your shit."

"Cállate. You didn't close the curtains." She mumbled, her eyes still closed and her mind still asleep. Oscar sighed, still half-asleep, but he pulled Tatiana against him and buried his head in her neck. Right when they both were falling back asleep, someone started pounding on the front door like they were the police. "You get it."

"Just ignore it." Tatiana did and kept trying to go back to sleep, but the knocking kept continuing, annoying the both of them. Oscar groaned as he threw the covers off.

Tatiana tried to go to sleep after, but then Oscar jumped back in the bed so she threw her elbow back. "You're annoying." Oscar hummed and continued holding Tatiana.

"Move, I'm going to the bathroom now."

"No, stay here." Oscar pulled Tatiana back down and basically trapped her in his arms.

"Who was at the door?"

"Some kid selling something." Oscar shrugged. "Do you have dance practice?"

Tatiana groaned, but it sounded like a no, so Oscar took it. "Can I go to the bathroom now?"

"Are you coming back?"

"Maybe." Tatiana left the bedroom to go to the bathroom, but there was another knock on the door that made her groan before walking to answer it. On the front porch, at fucking 8 am, Brandi stood there with a smile, but it disappeared when it wasn't Oscar that answered. "Do you need something?"

"Um, is Oscar here?"

"He lives here." Tatiana stated. She looked Brandi up and down, making the new chola uncomfortable, before turning around to yell Oscar's name. However, she didn't get to because he was already walking into the living room, shirtless and all.

"Oh, why are you here?"

"I wanted to know if I'm doing anything today."

Oscar stared at Brandi in confusion when she said that.  "So you knock on my door at 8 am instead of texting or calling someone?"

Tatiana looked between the two and took that as her cue to leave because she didn't want to stay around for a chola getting yelled at. Plus, it was Santos shit that she's not really supposed to be involved in.

About 5 minutes later, Tatiana was in the kitchen and Oscar had finally shut the front door.  "I don't like her.  Something's off."

"She's new, so she's still learning our ways."

Tatiana hummed as she pulled eggs out of the fridge.  "Seems suspicious."

Oscar watched as Tatiana calmly walked around the kitchen, pulling out pans and things from both the cabinets and the fridge.  "Tati, don't look into it.  If she's up to something, we'll find out."

"Bet I'll find out first."
