Jellal opened his eyes, groggy from sleeping. He checked the clock on his bedside table. Two in the afternoon. Not all that late when it's a Sunday. He smiled and turned to the left side of the bed. He rolled onto his side, expecting to see his beautiful scarlet haired girlfriend. Only, it was empty. He still smiled though, she was an early bird so it wouldn't surprise him if she was busy with something somewhere inside the house.

He got up to take a shower. It was a sift one since he wanted to find Erza first. She'd played more than a few hide-and-seeks with him. He looked through the rooms, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room. Unable to see her, he checked her hiding places. She was nowhere to be found.

He slumped down onto their couch. He frowned, upset she was gone. Maybe she left for Fairy Tail? She's never left for the guild without him. He sighed and got dressed. He walked to the guild. When he entered, he saw team Natsu but not Erza. Seems like they didn't know where she was either.

He asked around the guild, but no one's seen her. Jellal was worried and drained. Lucy, followed by her team approached the man. They didn't know where she was, but they were sure she was fine. Considering what Natsu said, he smelled her scent earlier that day on the way to the guild. There was no one else's scent with her. Her scent looped round and went to the marketplace. Or what Natsu assumed went to the marketplace.

With that news, Jellal called their team to attention. He guided them to Magnolia park where he began explaining a plan. All of them found it unnecessary, but let him have his moment. "...And that's how you catch an Erza."

Lucy tilted her head. "As good as your plan is, couldn't we just use Natsu and Wendy's sense of smell?"

Jellal shook his head. "The town is especially busy today. Most likely 'cause it's Sunday. Their scents mixed with Erza's would confuse their noses. Also, Erza can sniff out sweets from however far away. I have no doubt she'll come to it."

"Yeah," Wendy agreed. Lucy groaned, the little bit of arrogance in her, showing.

"Alright!" Jellal exclaimed, slapping the wooden stick in his hand against the other hand. "Natsu, come with me to buy the wagon load of cake and sweets. The rest of you secure a place to put it so we can catch Erza."

With that Jellal's plan was set in motion. He bought souffles, tarts, strawberry cake. Everything Erza would love. Both him and Natsu walked back to an empty grass field in town with a wagon of sweets. Lucy, Wendy and Gray were waiting for them, keeping people away from where they would set up their trap.

Gray helped to push the giant, overflowing cart into position. Jellal smiled as his glorious plan came together. "Now, we wait!"

Jellal was highly upset. It'd been about three hours and Erza still hadn't shown up. The sun was setting already. Her team was also waiting alongside him. "You think she's gonna show?" Gray asked, leaning around the big wagon to look at him.

Jella grumbled, frustrated. He stood up. "No. If she hasn't shown up now, then she won't show up ever."

Natsu and Happy's eyes lit up. Both got off the ground. "Does that mean we can eat all this?!" Natsu exclaimed, excited.

"Yeah, go ahead," Jellal muttered, disappointed. He was walking away with his hands in his pockets. Suppose it was back to foot searching. He walked to the market area, specifically heading for the bakery. He entered and the shop owner greeted with a smile.

"Oh, hello there! What can I do for ya?" He leaned on the counter. Jellal gave him a dead stare.

"Have you seen Erza today? Has she come to buy cake or something?"

The man's smile widened. "No, she didn't come in today, but I did see her on the street this mornin'. It was odd though, she seemed to be in a daze. She didn't even drop in to buy some cake. She usually buys some when she passes by."

"I see. Well, in which direction did she walk?"

"Straight down the street. My left, your right." The man leaned over the counter to point in the direction. It seemed she was heading toward all the shops, just like Natsu assumed.

Jellal nodded. "Thank you." He exited the shop and walked in that direction. After that he entered almost every shop he knew she would most likely enter. Every one of them said she walked down the street in a daze and that they didn't see much else from her. It was already dark by the time he was done asking. The marketplace was brimming with people and glowing with lights.

He stared down at the ground, upset he couldn't find her. His worry and fear was slowing growing bigger. If she wasn't home by tomorrow morning, he might have to file a missing person report. He might even do it tonight.

Just as those thoughts crossed through his mind, he saw a flash of scarlet from the corner of his eyes. When he turned though, he saw nothing, just isles of books inside a bookstore. His worry was finally getting to him. Or at least it seemed so when he saw another flash of scarlet in front of him. He looked up to see the tips of red hair going down an alley.

His eyes widened and he ran after her. As he turned the corner, he came face to face with her back. Her hair shined orange in the light, but it was her, no doubt. He was about to greet her when he realized that following her would be a better thing to do. After all, Erza didn't cling to alley's. Not to mention she had a bag with something inside in her arms. She held it tightly to her chest.

He followed after her. She walked from the alley to the residential area, then through Magnolia park, and then through the suburbs. She was headed back to their house from what he could tell. She walked through the woods to their secluded house. She walked in. He watched her through the windows. She was looking around, seemingly paranoid, almost as though she wanted him not to be home.

This both unsettled and saddened him. He sighed and watched as she walked up the stairs to their bedroom. Using meteor, he flew up to their window. Again, she looked around, paranoid.

Finding he wasn't home she sighed. She smiled at her bundle. She looked around a final time before pulling out what was inside. To his surprise she pulled out a magazine. However, the smile on her face already said that it wasn't just a magazine to her. She hugged the book tightly, seemingly overjoyed. She walked around the bed and sat down on the floor by her side of the bed, out of his sight. Jellal frowned and flew in through the open window. He flew onto their bed, still unnoticed by her. He leaned over the edge to see what she was doing. She was sitting in a ball, flipping through the magazine.

However, she stopped at the centerfold. She smiled warmly. In the centerfold was a shirtless Jellal, posing as handsome as ever. It wasn't the only picture of him in the magazine since this was a Sorcerer Weekly Crime Sorciere Special magazine. So it was featuring the entirety of Crime Sorciere and their activity as a guild over the years.

Erza nearly screamed when she heard Jellal chuckle above her. She inhaled deeply until she couldn't anymore. "H-how did you get in?"

He laughed at her. She wasn't looking at him. All she was doing was clutching the magazine, holding its covers closed. "I used the window. You had me really worried when I couldn't find you all day."

"Well, you most likely slept all day," she muttered. He chuckled. She heard him move on the bed behind her. She still didn't dare move.

"So, where were you all day?" he asked with a smirk. He saw from the side of her face, the deep blush on her cheeks. "I was going around burning every copy of this magazine except for this one."

He chuckled and she looked away. He looked back at her with gentle eyes. "Erza, look at me."

Slowly, she stood up and turned to look at him. When she shifted her eyes up to him, she dropped the magazine. On her bed, was a seductive, smirking Jellal with an unbuttoned shirt. He was lying on his side, his head on his hand being supported by his elbow.

He finally figured out how to catch an Erza. You don't need a wagon of sweets, but a single shirtless Jellal.
