The dress fit like a glove. The shimmering golden satin drapped over me like second skin. My dusty brown hair was tied up in an intricate braid with tiny white flowers gracefully tangled within it. I had on only a light layering of mascara and lip gloss.
Sarah really knew what she was doing.
I grabbed my bouquet of flowers, white with splatters of pink hidden in their petals, just as she walked in.
"You ready to go?" she asked, her soft voice like honey.
"I should be asking you that." I chuckled. She was getting married today.
She came to stand next to me in the mirror. "I'm sorry for making you do this, I know you're mad at Theo, but he is Caleb's best man."
"You don't have to apologize for that Sarah, you deserve to be happy today, and if that means spending some time with Theo so be it."
"You're the best!" She pulled me tight into her arms.
"Yeah yeah. Come on now babe." I said in a fake Brittish accent as I broke out of her death grip. "Everyone's waiting."
She took one last glance in the mirror. "I look okay right?"
"Never better."

His steely gaze was set on me as I made my way over to him. He was wearing a black tux with a golden tie that matched my dress.
I looked away from his stare and focused on the bridesmaids in front of me. They were all wearing purple colored dresses and held the same bouquet as me.

The music began and I laced my hand through Theo's arm as I felt his gaze finally turn away from me. We began our slow brigade down the isle. All though it was too soon, the little flower girls behind us began tossing red rose petals into the air and I watched as some of them streaked over my head and down to the ground in front of me. I heard Sarah softly chuckle at them and tell them to wait.
