It was finally the first day of high school. The day I became a freshmen. I was so nervous but excited. I never got to go to graduation because mom and dad wouldn't take me, and even if they would I wouldn't want to go because I have no nice dresses to wear. I still got to graduate though. Mom and dad wouldn't drive me to school because they were embarrassed to be seen with me because I was a horrible child. I believed them in all they said about me too. I wished I would look good on the first day, but instead I had to go to school with knotted up dirty blonde hair and torn up hand me downs from my sister, Bridget, who was mom and dads angel child. Sometimes I think they had wished they never had me, I wish that too. My sister hates me and refuses to be seen with me. Mom and dad drive her to school, while I walk the mile to school. Bridget is a beautiful blonde that has the nicest clothes. She's 17 and about to graduate. I start walking to school and see the cutest guy pass me. His name is Connor. He's a grade older than me and I doubt he's ever going to notice me, besides, my sister and him have a thing. When I finally get to school I feel like everyone is staring at me. It's probably because of my appearance, considering every else looks really good. I don't know my classes because mom and dad never let me go to get them the day before. Mom's name is Lily and dads is John. They seem like sweet people but they are my worst nightmare. Today I had to wear long sleeves to cover the bruises dad gave me yesterday. It's hot today, but I had to wear it or dad would give me more. I went to the office to get my schedule and everyone was looking at me still. They probably noticed the holes in my shirt. I have few friends at school that I hoped to find. My best friend Autumn moved away last year so now the only fiends I have left are Macy and Logan. I saw Macy and yelled her name. When she turned around she had a shocked look on her face. "Are you ok?" She asked me shocked. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I looked at her confused. "You have a huge bruise on your face!" She exclaimed. I was horrified. I ran straight to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. The place where dad had punched me under the eye was swollen and bruised. Mom and dad don't let me look in the mirror at home so I didn't notice. "Oh my god, Macy do you have makeup!" I exclaimed, scared that dad would hurt me if he found out. "yeah hold on." She said, "how'd you get that anyway?" I looked at her afraid to tell her why. "Oh...uhm....I...I fell." I said casually. "On your face?" She said in confusion.
"Y...yeah." I said. "Ok.." She said hesitantly, "Here's some makeup." I took it from her and started applying it, covering as much as I could. After it was covered enough I left the bathroom and headed to first hour. I didn't have class with Macy so I had to find my way there. When I walked in I saw Logan in the back and went to sit with him. I hoped the day would be good today. "Hey." I smiled at Logan. "H..hi." He said. "What's wrong?" I asked him right as a girl named Stacy, my worst enemy and the prettiest girl in school walked up to me. "Why are you sitting by her Logan?" She looked at him sternly. "I..I'm not, this freak just sat by me." He said to her. "What?" I confusingly asked Logan, "I thought we were friends?" He looked at me, with sadness in his eyes. "We would never be friends you freak." He said, "now move so my girlfriend can sit here." I looked at her and then him. I couldn't get the thought out of my head, he was my friend and he new I hated her. And now he's dating her. I slowly stood up walking away and sitting in the back corner by some guys I didn't know. Hoping the rest of the day would be better.
