Y/N's POV
"You think that'll work..?" I asked.
"I know it will, Yume's quirk isn't just images, it's things that have happened in the past he can make people see too. So if he shows them that you guys didn't...you know... then they have no reason to still believe that rumour." Haruto said confidently.
"How long can he show people those images?" Shinsou asked.
"I'm not sure, he's only done it once before, but if he's with a person for a good amount of time he can show others their memories."
"Over this weekend, we'll all stay together so this can work." Suki tapped her fingers together, something I noticed she does subconsciously."I'm not sure..." Aito interrupted.
Everyone turned to look at him, his eyes were closed and his arms were folded.
"If we do that, then we're no better than Kurasshu. We're abusing Yume's power."
He sounded overly protective, and it immediately showed as soon as you saw the pair together. Their friendship was deep and filled with trust, and you didn't need to know them for five minutes to see that.
I knew what he was trying to say, and I agreed with him.
"No, I agree with him. Yume's been told to do things he hasn't wanted to do before, and how do we know he wants to do this?" I said, looking over at him, his eyes focused on me, "Yume...you have to tell us if you want to do this. I, no, we don't want to force you to do anything."
He stayed quiet for a moment, looking down at the table, considering it.
After a while, he looked up and nodded.
"It's the least I can do." He whispered.
Aito put a hand on his shoulder, "are you sure? If your comfortable with it I mean."
He nodded and looked at him reassuringly.
"Also, Principal Nezu is on our side, right? He can help." Izumi made a good point.
"You're right." Haruto said, his fingers on his chin, a deeply thoughtful look on his face.
Shinsou grabbed y/n's hand under the table, looking over to her. She placed her head on his shoulder, where he whispered, "this is going to work."
He kissed her head.
"Fuaaahhh I'm so hungryyyyy~" Izumi held her stomach.
Aito grinned and stood up from his chair, and took a bow.
"At your service madam."~
Third Person's POV
Aito was at the stove, about three pans going on at once, while Yume stood next to him, chopping berries.
The other four sat down at the table, talking about trivial things, like pass times and foods and what-not. Anything to get to know the others. It eventually got onto quirk demonstrations.
"I think y/n already knows what I can do, it's pretty sad really..." Haruto nervously said.
"Yeah..." Shinsou said slowly.
"How about you show us yours y/n!" Izumi said enthusiastically.
"I-okay,"she stuttered. Walking out of the open kitchen and into the hallway, she fumbled with Shinsou's shirt's sleeves and pulled them up, then flexing her fingers as her pole shone through.
"I didn't give off shards this time!" She cheered happily.
"Show us what you can do!" Aito called from the stove, looking over his shoulder while Yume threw a knife up and down.
She nodded shyly, and began to spin the pole around her palm, then round her neck and above her head.
Everyone watched in awe as the clumsiness was non-existent.
"Hey, can you control when your pole goes to shards?" Yume asked.
She'd actually never even tried.
"I've never tried before..." she said slowly, looking down at her staff.
Yume put the knife down and walked over to her, taking the pole and holding it infront of her.
"Retract it back into your body but stop when the shards reach about this length," he made a shape with his fingers that looked about 10cm long.
She did as he said, and was left with knife-like shards in her hands.
"I've never done that before!" Her eyes lit up.
"Now hold one inbetween your index and middle finger, and aim for this," he held up a chopping board.
"But what if I accidentally slip or let go too soon-" she began, but then realised what he meant.
If she dissolved some of her pole back into her body, but kept the rest out, she would still have a bit of that excess agility.
She put one of the shards inbetween her fingers, and threw it.
It landed dead-on the middle of the board.
"Wow y/n, that was so cool!" Izumi cheered.
"T-Thanks...I didn't know I could do that..." she dissolved the rest of the shards back into her body.
Yume walked back to the kitchen, and resumed cutting the rest of the berries.
Y/n walked back to her seat, then looked at Suki and asked her to demonstrate.
"It's pretty obvious what I can do, but okay," she shrugged her shoulders.
She sat up and walked round behind Haruto, where she lifted her leg up and roundhouse kicked him, her leg phasing straight through his head. His face looked amusing, but she wasn't finished there, as she kicked with her translucent leg, her other one solidified, so she used that one to kick behind her and catch the lid she knocked over.
"That was so cool!" Y/n clapped.
Haruto was less enthusiastic, his face had a horrified expression covering it that made everyone laugh.
~Aito placed the last plate down.
Infront of them, laid several dishes of Miso soup, pancakes, French toast, cinnamon bagels, berry salad and Tamago kake gohan, which Aito said he'd made his own version of.
Without second thought, they dug in and said their thanks through mouthfuls of food.
~Once the dishes were washed and put away, the group parted ways. Yume and Shinsou both went to his dorm while y/n walked back down the halls, headed to the girl's quarters. But something caught her sight when she looked out of the window.
