Emerald's POV.

Aidan and I had arrived at the party not long ago, but he had already disappeared after telling me he'd be back momentarily. I sat alone on a couch in a secluded part of the hall, feeling increasingly uneasy from the odd stares I was receiving intermittently. I'm not the party type of girl but that doesn't mean I'm a nerd.

Though not overtly studious, I found the typical high school party scene rather immature and see it as a venue where people loose their virginity and have unlimited sex and alcohol.

Talking about alcohol, I got up and made my way to the kitchen. It was also crowded but as I got inside everyone stopped what they were doing and started staring at me. They parted way for me to pass and I felt highly uncomfortable.

What is wrong with everyone here? Why are they looking at me like that? I thought to myself and took out a can of beer from the fridge. I returned to the couch, scanning the crowd unsuccessfully for any sign of Aidan. Instead, I found myself locking eyes with an intense green-eyed gaze from across the room.

His gaze was too intense. He was looking hard at me while sipping something from a red cup. Uncomfortable with the scrutiny, I averted my eyes and pretended to be preoccupied with my phone while sipping my beer.

I still felt his strong gaze on me but Ignored. Where the fuck did Aidan go? I asked myself as I shifted from time to time. "That asshole better show his ugly face before I strangle him." I said with a little chuckle.

"Wish granted, Belle". A voice said and I froze. "Ugly face has presented himself ." The voice said again, in a deep french accent and I couldn't resist anymore  to look at whom it belonged to.

Same green eyes, handsome face and a sexy body. "Ummm, I, I, err..." I tried to say but nothing came out. I was vocabulary bankrupt. This boy before me was a gorgeous craft for sure.

"Nevermind Belle, so who were you talking about? Your boyfriend perhaps?" He asked stretching the "perhaps" as if he wanted his statement to be false. I didn't respond immediately, I just kept looking at him.

"I get it if you have a boyfriend though. You're too pretty to be single anyway." He said with a little shrug.
"Says who?" I found myself asking, quite intrigued at where the conversation was heading to.

"You know, everyone is talking about you. When you first entered the front door, I decided to approach you but I was warned by everyone to stay away from you if I don't want to leave the party with a bruised face. So I assumed you had a boyfriend?"

"Not really.... Aidan is just a little overprotective of me". I replied with a smile. "He's my best friend and like a brother to me."

"That's cool. Ummm, err....can we be friends?" He asked and I smiled.
"Sure, we....."  I began to say but was interrupted by a hardened voice behind me.

The guy went stiff and I could see fear written all over his face. I don't need to turn to know who the intruder is.
"I said NO."  Aidan said harshly behind me. "She doesn't want to be friends with little boys. Go get someone else to befriend."  He said and got face to face with the guy.

"I don't want to see you around her. It would be best if you be a good little boy that you are and disappear right now."  Aidan yelled and the guy practically ran off.

He turned around and faced me with a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. I frowned upon seeing his smile. "What's the meaning of what you just did, Aidan?  Why don't you want me to make other friends?"

"They're not good for you, Blue. None of them are good for you." He said holding my arms. "You should know that I only want the best for you. I am a guy and I know how the mind of guys work. I don't want anyone to ruin you, Blue." He said and I softened.

He always knows how to calm me down. I thought to myself as I looked up into his eyes. He has this mesmerizing grey eyes with a hint of gold in them. I got lost immediately. It was like I was pulled into some sort of spell.

"Dance with me,  will you?" He whispered huskily into my ears and I suddenly became aware of how close we were. His lips grazed my cheek as he pulled away. I was lost. Totally lost.

I followed Aidan sheepishly to the dance floor and we started dancing. He was basically grinding my ass as I whined to the rhythm of the song. People usually think it's weird. Even my dad thinks Aidan and I have some sort of secret affair.

Most people at school think we use the bestie code as a cover up but I don't really care. I think we're unique in our own way. We have kissed a couple of times in school and that's only because Aidan wants to get his whores off his back after he fucks them. It's really not a big deal.

I suddenly felt a pair of eyes strained on me. A certain green eyes. I looked around to see him but I couldn't find him. But I knew he was looking at me going low for my bestie.

🔱🔱🔱

"You're wasted."  Aidan said as I got lifted from the car. He carried me bridal style and made way to the house. "I'm not wasted."  I replied and began giggling.

"Lol...remind me not to give you a drink on a school night ever again." He said but at this point, everything is becoming blurr to me.

I felt my body touch the soft bed and I sighed happily.
Come on, lemme take this dress off you before you pass out. I heard a voice say but I couldn't keep up with what was going on around me.

Eyes closed, darkness flooded. Felt comfortable and I loved it. "You're so beautiful." My subconscious told me and I smiled.
"I Love you, Blue." that was the last thing i heard before I passed out.
