On the other side of the door was finally the dining room. And to the surprise of the 6 of us, there were 12 other people in the room. Based on the number of rooms upstairs, we were the last ones to arrive. The air in the room was heavy, almost like there was a sense of impending doom.
Whatever conversation that had been going on before immediately stopped when we entered the room. I glanced around the room, eyeing the other people here. And they most certainly were eyeing us. I could almost feel their gazes burning into my skin.
"Alright so are you the last ones here? Can we know what the hell is going on now?" shouted a blue haired male in a lab coat. Who he was talking to, I have no idea.
"Bro, chill out! Look at all these good lookin' ladies that just walked in the room." another guy said as he approached Saya and Rika. Ah, one of those guys, I get it now.
People went back to chattering again, their voices overlapping one another. I couldn't keep track of who was talking about what so I simply stepped back and did what I do best - blend into the background and listen. From what it sounds like, everyone received a note and woke up in a room with someone else, no one knows what we're doing here and no one knows where we are. Great.
Eventually, Sean broke through the chatter. "Hey, shouldn't we maybe, I dunno, introduce ourselves? I dunno why we're here but it doesn't hurt! I'll start. Sean Beasley, Ultimate Architect! I'm sure many of ya have seen some of my work around Japan! Okay, who's next?"
He was way too enthusiastic about this. People were a bit wary at first, but soon someone else spoke. It was the guy who had been focused on Rika and Saya. "Calvin Barron, Ultimate Rockstar. I'm sure you've all heard of me." he said with a cocky grin. Something told me he wasn't talking to the guys, as he turned to Saya and placed a finger under her chin. "What's your name, baby?"
Saya immediately started giggling as she moved her head away to look at the rest of the group. "Saya Miura is my name and carnival games are... well... my game~! I'm the Ultimate Carnival Gamer. Nice to meet you all~!" She said as she smiled happily at the group.
Rika wasted no time in chiming in. "I'm Rika Morimoto and I'm the Ultimate Plushie Maker~! Oh and this is Mr Cuddles~!" she said while holding up her pink, stuffed rabbit. "We're happy to meet you all!" She was bouncing in place and waving the arm of the stuffed rabbit to everyone.
Saki and Ella were still nearby, so they went next. "Sup dudes? Name's Ella Moon, Ultimate Snowboarder! My favourite thing to do is shred on my board, but it doesn't seem like there's gonna be much of a hill around here. Bummer." she said, pouting a little at the end.
"It'll be okay, I'm sure we'll find somewhere for you, nyaa~!" Saki said, as she leaned over to make a small pawing motion at Ella. Then she turned back to the group. "Hello! I'm Saki Kaneshiro, Ultimate Pet Rescuer, nyaa~! I'm gonna save all the puppies and kitties in the world~!" she exclaimed while pawing at the group.
Well, there are the intros from the people I already know... now it's time for the others, I guess. Let's hope they're not a bunch of psychos...
