After stepping out into the hallway, I got a good chance to look around. And Sean was completely right: the construction of this building was awful. It seemed more like an abandoned building than anything else. I just continued to look around, checking out my surroundings.

We seemed to be in a hall with 18 rooms, decorated in an old gothic decor much like the bedroom. I glanced at the rooms on each side of us and noticed the number. Room 9 and 11. Guess that means I'm in room 10. But with all of these rooms, did that mean there were 16 other people besides Sean and myself? I honestly don't know if that made me feel more afraid or slightly relieved.

"Hey Asuka? Where do ya think the dinin' room would be?" Sean asked as he released my hand.

I just thought about it for a second and shrugged. "H-Honestly I-I d-don't k-know... d-downstairs...?" The nerves were clear in my voice as I pointed toward a staircase.

"Good idea! Let's head'er down!" Sean smiled as he started making his way towards the stairs. As we started going down, a faint laughter could be heard. I immediately tensed up, fearing the worst. But he just took my hand again to calm my nerves. As we approached the landing of the 2nd floor, we could actually see that the laughter belong to two people. I sighed a small breath of relief as we approached them.

The one girl, a lighter brunette with long, low pigtails carrying a stuffed rabbit, noticed us first. Immediately she started waving, far too enthusiastically.

"Hiiiii~! Who are you?! I'm Rika Morimoto, Ultimate Plushie Maker! And this is Mr Cuddles~!" the girl named Rika exclaimed as she held out the stuffed rabbit in her hands. She was... rather excitable.

Sean stepped forward and placed his arm on my head, using me as an armrest. Okay, I guess that's the downfall of being 5'0" tall. "The name's Sean Beasley, Ultimate Architect! And this here is Asuka Tomita, Ultimate Cosplayer!" he said with a wide grin. I was kind of glad he introduced me. I couldn't handle hearing more of my nervous stutter.

"Sean and Asuka! I'll remember that~!" Rika said as she turned to face the other girl she'd been speaking with moments ago. "Saaaaayaaaaaa~! Come meet new friends!"

The other girl, apparently named Saya, giggled a bit as she approached us as well. She also had her hair in pigtails, though her hair was a very dark brown and her pigtails were high. "I'm Saya Miura, the Ultimate Carnival Gamer~! Any carnival game you can think of, I'm an ace at it! Nice to meet you both~!"

I couldn't help but crack a smile at this incredibly ditzy pair. But they seemed like good people. I wonder if they got one too... Nervously, I pulled out my note again. "U-Uhm... d-d-did y-you g-get n-notes?" I quietly asked the duo.

"Oh! You mean like this!" Rika exclaimed as she also produced an identical note. Without even responding, Saya also stuck hers out. So they got them too. What is going on?

"We're just headin' to find this dinin' room if ya wanna come with." Sean said to the two brunettes. I kept looking around, trying to assess my surroundings. It wasn't just the rooms that were rundown, but from the look of things, it was the whole building.

"Sure! We'd much rather be with a strong guy like you~." the girl named Saya said to Sean. Note to self: Saya is the boy crazy type.

"Sounds good! C'mon with us!" Sean smiled happily as he sauntered towards the stairs. Second note to self: Sean is oblivious to flirting type. And with that, we all headed down the stairs.
