The class bell rang,so I went on ahead running to my classroom.I unpacked my folders and my journals into my desk.The day began by doing morning work.I thought this morning work was easy.Some kids had some trouble,so they asked me to help them."So,the first question is 72/6,so let's figure out this by dividing like we do in math class,"I said.
I'm in 5th grade and we do a lot of division problems.I knew right in my head it was 12 because I study my multiplication.They did the division problem and got the same answer,12.We had to start math class right away so I got finished and turned it in the red tray for math morning work."Today in math we are going to work with something new,decimals,fractions,and percents,"Mrs.Grihen said.
We got the day started at 10:30,we had an hour.Now it was 11:30,time to have a restroom break to get water for me I'm thirsty.Since it was time,I got out of my blue navy seat and went to get a drink.On my way I felt the blue glowing small clam shell in my jacket pocket.In the other pocket I found a necklace string,so I put the clam shell on that string and wore it as a necklace.
I got a drink out of the water fountain.Then I could feel the cold water against my mouth,wet.When that happened I took my arm across my wet mouth and there was water on my arm.Then I saw the clam shell turn that glowing blue again.My legs felt tingly,for some reason I knew something was going to happen.I went into a stall and was standing there,so no one could see the glow.Everyone was out of the bathroom except for me,then all of a sudden I feel my self flop down onto the bathroom floor.I was on my belly hesitating about why I was on the tiled floor.Then I tried to stand up,but I couldn't,so I turned onto my back and looked up then down.I couldn't believe my eyes,I saw a scaly tail sitting there looking at me.My tail was yellow with rhinestones all over it,I was panicking.Then I remembered not to panick because maybe someone would've walked right in and heard me and saw me.I knew I couldn't tell anyone,not even my friends,family,cousins,close ones,or anybody in the whole world except for God because he sees everything,I can't hide from him,it's rude to do that.
In my head I remember watching those mermaid shows,so I decided to keep it a secret to myself.I also remembered,I needed a towel to dry me off and get me feet back,so I just grabbed some toilet paper and dried my tail off.I got out of the stall and started walking back to the classroom.
