Chapter 19: Crisis

It was mom. Why was she there? She was the one person we didn't want to run into. I was still knocked out cold though, so I didn't know anything. "Dang it," Cassie whispered. Eventually a few seconds later mom said," Is everything ok down there?, Should I be worried?" Cassie replied," No it's ok, we are all ok down here!" Whew! At least that was covered, but we still had a bit of a major problem.

How am I any help? What could I do , or what did I do? I'm not sure what my life is holding right now. All I know is... I have a purpose to be here and to fulfill it, but what is that purpose, and what am I supposed to do? I'm probably just talking to myself right now with my conscious. I was in some dark place, that's all I knew. Nobody was there, I was all alone. But then I heard someone yelling my name. Wait maybe more than one person, maybe a few people. "Caterina...CAterina....CATERINA!!!" I know I've been in this situation before, but when?

Suddenly I woke up, still not knowing anything. " What's happening?" They all stared at me blank faced. "Do you know any of us?" I stared at all of them, "No, I haven't seen you guys before." They all let out a sad sigh. "I'm sorry, should I know you all?" They nodded. I felt so bad that I didn't know them. But I did know that I was a mermaid still and I had powers, but something was missing. I had it on the tip of my tongue, but I just couldn't get it. I knew it was something important though.

" We have to solve this problem," Abbigal said. "Well no duh," Brenna looked furious and funny at the same time. "Well, there is no time to loose, we better get looking for clues." Cassie seemed determined. "I may know something about a spellbook if you are wondering," I said. But the truth was, I really didn't know anything about a spellbook! " Really," They all seemed pretty surprised. Even I was surprised! " But I'm going to need that shell of mine." They handed it over.

I said some mysterious spell I didn't even know. Heck, I didn't know any spells at all! What was going on? Something's not right. Something seems off about my body and my brain. Nothing matched my ideas and what I was actually thinking. "Help me!" I said. But nothing came out of my mouth. I tried saying it again, but nothing happened. Something definitely is not right!
