Chapter 18: What!

How could have I not known she was a mermaid too?. Cassie didn't know I was a mermaid either? I'm so confused, she could've just told me from the very start so I didn't have to panic for a few days. I came out of hiding from the invisibility power. " Why didn't you tell me anything!?" Cassie just looked at me with a blank face. " Did you think I was told either!" I just stared at her, angry. " Come on Caterina, get a hold of yourself." I couldn't, I was way too confused at this moment. " Are mom and dad mermaids??!!" We both just stared at another. " I don't know Caterina, maybe." I stared again at Cassie. Her tail was designed different from ours. It was more artsy in a way that it almost looks too real to explain. Although her tail was a mix or tie-die of purple and orange. " How did you get your tail like that?" She looks at all of us while Abbigal and Brenna move towards me. " Well, I probably have been a mermaid longer than you, by the knowledge you have. That means that I am a higher ranked mermaid than all of you. To get to this rank, you will have to listen to that conscious of yours and that person, or whoever they are. You're not the only one on missions, especially for our family."

Well that blows the mission for me, I'm not doing this by myself, gladly. Now I'll have to listen to my bossy big sister, ugh. I wasn't so sure if Abbigal and Brenna were still in it for the mission because of our talk with the Secret Fish apparently. " We should dry ourselves if you don't want mom and dad to find out that we know or we are going on this dangerous mission," Cassie was eager to do so. " Ok, with what?," we all said. We laughed at that timing. " Um, hello we have powers," Cassie reminded us after she got her thoughts together. I gave my shell to Abbigal and Brenna to help themselves get their tails to disappear.

Now that we all have our legs back, we headed upstairs, until I tripped over a bucket on the floor an hit my head on the side of a shelf. "Caterina!!" Cassie and them definitely noticed the noise of the bucket and the hit of the impact between me and the shelf. As I had no clue what was going on already, I woke up a few minutes after hitting the shelf and they were hovering over me. " Ww..who are you guys?" I had no clue what was going on. "Oh gosh something's happened to Caterina," Cassie said. " How do you know my name, do I know you all???" They were freaking out like animals. " No no no, this is bad," that's all I heard and I fell back asleep. " We need to get her upstairs in her room before our parents notice anything," Cassie was furious. They picked me up and managed to get upstairs with me. We were almost to the main floor of the house until a shadow appeared from the side of the stairs...
