Short 11: Keeping Mine

I don't believe in God.

But, as the day passes-

I pray.

I pray that they take two of my demons away.

I pray that they aren't here to stay.

Don't send mine back.

Once they are back-

I'm there too. I can't leave them-

No matter my pain.

I can no longer forgive,

And I can no longer forget.

Know that your words may be anchors-

The strength within my will is unmatched.

I WILL take them and sail away.

We could fly with the slightest breeze.

Gone before they could turn their heads and roll their eyes.

Never forget that.
