October 2024 | Team H.O.P.E. fails its 2nd and final attempt at successfully combating the meteor 'Vendetta' during the shuttles space mission. During the complicated procedure, Team HOPE's shuttle- the spacecraft known as "G-1" is systematically destroyed. The spacecraft carrying the 12 astronauts is heavily compromised while performing a critical maneuver. The last satellite feed before the fatal accident suggested an error in judgement on one of the crews part.
January 2025 | The White House releases its final correspondence to the nation with a press release that's broadcast across the country's emergency radio stations, the statement concerns the newest developments surrounding the aided efforts of Team H.O.P.E. and the mission at hand. The White House staff is already aware of Team HOPE's mission failure and their untimely demise. The decision to withhold this information from the public is made by President Barnes. Falsely reporting across the radio waves that the mission has endured setbacks, but the team remains adamant and believe their success rate is still high. The public increasingly grows suspicious and small acts of violence have already begun taking place in several cities for almost 2 years now.
March 2025 | The meteor 'Vendetta' is clearly visible by the human eye as it begins approaching the outer rim of Earth's Atmosphere.
July 2025 | 'Day Zero' arrives on July 4th, Independence Day, the American holiday celebrated by citizens of the United States, in a sad twist of irony, becomes the day of the 'Impact Event'! The meteor hits Earth and crash-lands just a few miles off the eastern seaboard, landing in the Atlantic Ocean, causing earthquakes and tidal waves that crest at 40 miles high! The aftermath of the destruction is widespread!!
