Tay's P.O.V
After everything that has happened i haven't seen Jayla. I went straight into therapy to deal with what happened. I talk to her everyday but i miss her. I didn't even go to the hearing because i couldn't face Dre. I called her up and asked her to have lunch with me. I can't wait to see her.
I took a shower and got ready. I'm really excited to see her. After i finished i texted Jayla and told her i was on my way. I drove off and headed to Lionel's house. When i got there i got out and knocked on the door.
"Hey Tay. How are you??" Lionel said after he opened the door.
"Hey i'm good. A lot better."
"That's good. Do you want to come in??"
"No thanks. Can you get Jayla??"
"Sure." He walked away and i waited for them to come back. They walked up and gave each other a kiss.
"Bye baby. Have funn." He said as she walked out.
"I will. See you later on."
We left and got in the car. We headed to BJ's. As soon as we got there she got excited.
"I looove BJ's!! You payin right??" We both laughed and walked inside. The waiter sat us down immediately. He took our orders and left.
"So how have you been??" Jayla asked me.
"I've been good. Therapy is really helping me. But i have to ask you something..why didn't you say what he was doing to you??"
"I just--i was embarrassed. I thought people would judge me for not leaving. I wanted to but he wouldn't let me."
"He wouldn't let me either. He told me i was his. And his only. If i tried to leave he would hurt me and all of you."
"What happened when the cops showed up??" The food came and we began eating. She continued her talking.
"We were in the living room. He was rolling a blunt and i was folding clothes. They knocked on the door and said come out with your hands up and nobody will get hurt. He stood up and started yelling at me. Asking me if i called them. I told him no i wouldn't he slapped me. Then he threw me into the wall. That's when the cops kicked down the door and took us both outside. Then i called you." I looked up and saw tears streaming down Jayla's face.
"Don't cry. I'm ok now. He's long gone and i am stronger now. Annnndddd....i have a new boyfriend."
"Oooohhhh what's his name??" She said leaning closer to me and winking.
"His name is Zae. He knows about everything that happened and he told me to stay with him to keep me safe. He loves me Jayla and i trust him." We finished up eating, paid for the food and then got in the car.
We drove around the city listening to music and talking about the things we used to do as kids. Jayla's phone rang and she answered.
"Hello??"
"This is she."
Then she got quiet.
"Jayla who was that??" She sat in silence then i got worried.
