***1 Year Later***
Jayla's P.O.V
My mom called me today and told me they were having a bbq at my grandma's house with the whole family. I didn't want to go but Lionel insisted for some reason. He seems more excited than me. Oh well it will be nice for the family to finally meet him. We both got dressed then head over there. We walked in and everybody was sitting around talking and laughing.
"HEEEYYYYY!!" They all said in unison walking over to us.
"Hey everybody. You guys. This is my boyfriend Lionel. Lionel this is my grandma, my auntie's Jackie, Tresa, and Collette, my uncle's Davy, Barry, and Jeremy, my brother Elijah. My sister Leah And of course my mom."
"Ooohhhh he's cute!! Ok Ok." They said. We all started laughing.
"Thank you." He said.
"Ooohhhh he has an accent?? I'm so jealous." My sister said and we all laughed.
He hugged everyone and then we went in the kitchen. The food looked amazing and i was starving. Everyone made a plate and then we all sat around and talked and laughed. Of course they brought up embarrassing moments and things I've said. I'm glad he made me go. I'm actually having a lot of fun.
"So where are you from Lionel??" One of my aunties asked him.
"Louisiana."
"Oh really?? I was born there." My grandma said.
We all kept talking and eating. It was getting late and we decided to leave. We hugged everyone and said our goodbye's. We got in the car.
"Babe that was so much fun!!" His smile was sooo big. He looked like a little kid that just opened the toy he always wanted on Christmas. We pull off and head home.
Lionel's P.O.V
We're finally home from the bbq. Jayla doesn't even know i asked to set it up. I really wanted to meet her family because i never have. She doesn't even talk about them. But we had a lot of fun tonight. It's nice to see Jayla around her family. I'm exhausted though. I can't wait to go cuddle up with my baby tonight. I could hold her in my arms for the rest of my life and it still wouldn't be long enough. This girl means so much to me. Yall don't even know.
