"I wouldn't lie to you." Ben said to his wife while running his fingers trough her messy hair.
Rey was covered in sweat. Another practice day with his closest friends, Finn and Poe. When she arrived at home, she expect warm welcome from her husband. Maybe they will go out to have dinner at Chalmun's Cantina or order pizza and binge-watching Star Wars movies.
Instead she couldn't find Ben anywhere. She went to the kitchen, their room and bathroom, yet she still hopeless. Until she heard noises from the attic.
They just moved in to this small place in the heart of Tatooine last month. To be honest, their new home still a mess. Especially up above, many stuffs scattered all over the room. However, Rey knew one thing that stood the most between all those worthless junk.
It was Ben's grandfather mask. Darth Vader's most precious belonging. Sacred object for Kylo Ren.
Rey doesn't like the idea of his husband keeping the toxic object. The thought of old Ben's impersonating bad man and wore mask still makes her toe curled.
She loves Ben. Sweet, understanding, patient man she married now. Not the cold hearted Kylo Ren. Rey was afraid he will turn back into that monster.
"I can lie to anyone, but not you. You know I can't." Ben emphasized once more. He hates it when he made his wife sad. She was the light in his life, she still is.
When she asked what did he do in the attic, he knew she would suspect the worst. He was sad she couldn't trust him, but again he treated her badly in the past.
"I'm sorry I always hurt you even when I never meant to." Ben put his hand on his lover's cheek. Their eyes locked. The black mysterious eyes of Ben's and the warm spirited eyes of Rey's with green and brown. "Hey, listen. I promise I will throw this away, okay? I swear. I never wanted to hurt you. I'm so sorry, my darling."
